his mother was the Navy General’s only daughter, Valeria Groggins, and his father, Jason Hendrix, was the heir of his family’s luxury goods company; the only problem was that his father was already married and his mother was engaged to the Army General’s son. the family worked on an elaborative excuse in regards of Valeria’s health when she became six months pregnant and started showing a little and kept her away from her in-laws and fiancé until after the baby was born.
one of the maid’s of the house was forced to pretend it was her baby and instructed to drop him off at the hospital and leave him for adoption, she had no choice but to agree, but she changed her mind and begged one of the nurses to keep the baby and she would be back in the evening to pick him up. which she did; right after her shift, she picked him up and soon after that had him registered under her name.
Aiden was raised by her with the help of her mother and sister as if he was really her son. When he was three his mother married and she and her husband had a baby girl two years later. His step-father had been good to him, even adopted him when the paired married, but after his sister’s birth he started getting irritated with him and raising another man’s child ( even though he was aware of the true story ). He became increasingly harsh with him, often losing his patience with him both verbally and physically. As Aiden grew older and the two clashed there were more arguments between them; there were punishments and violence, and his mom often got in between to stop them.
By the time he was fourteen, the tension at home when both him and his adoptive father were present was impossible to ignore; they could go off for the simplest thing, and Aiden being older now, it was nearly an every day incident that he would respond to violence with violence, and it was driving his mom insane. During one heated argument, his adoptive father told him he wasn’t even blood related to either of them, which was what tipped his mother off. She had tried to keep peace as best she could, protect Aiden even though she failed more often than not, but that made her divorce him on the spot. She got her kids and moved to New Bellevoux where her sister lived alone after her husband’s passing.
Aiden had always been close to his sister despite circumstances and her father trying to keep them separated. Though things were a little weird between him and his mom after the truth was revealed, he was still thankful for what she had done for him; raising him like her own when she could have left him be thrown into the system. He didn’t ask to know who his parents were.
When he decided to enlist at seventeen years old, after having struggled with getting in trouble due to his temper and being prone to aggression, the news where not well received by either his mom or his sister. Regardless, he signed up for BUD/S and completed all the training, graduated as the Honor Man, and then went on to continue on the required training to become a US Navy SEAL.
It wasn’t long till his first deployment, then the second, the third. He was used to chaos and being on tour was providing him exactly that. He was exceptionally good at what he was doing; and he was soon moving teams, first to Team Three and soon to ( formerly called ) DEVGRU, at only twenty-six. He rarely came back home, always drafted or on-board to join a mission when back at the States.
Despite his abilities and determination to always complete a mission no matter what, he was the cause of a constant migraine to his superiors; always keen on disobeying orders he did not deem fit or realistic, talking back, pulling risky downright menacing moves when on the filed; he got in trouble a lot for it, but he was usually laid off lightly due to having completed a mission without risking anyone else’s safety but his.
He became a Medal of Honor recipient at twenty-seven, had already gotten a Purple Heart at twenty-four.
His deployment was almost over when his mother called to deliver the news of his sister’s and her husband’s passing, which came as a shock. He utilised his leave to fly back to the states a few days before his deployment would be officially over.
Having been back for a little more than a couple of weeks, he is already obtained the necessary paperwork to be his niece’s temporary legal guardian, and is in the process of adopting her.
