Kermel FR fabric is commonly used in industrial protective clothing to provide protection from heat and flames, but also from acids and chemical projections. These fabrics do not burn, do not melt and retain their mechanical properties. Kermel FR viscose fabrics mixtures provide constant protection from fire exposure and heat flash hazards.

This fire resistant hooded sweatshirt is made from fire resistant fleece which ensures the safety of the one wearing it from fire and falling debris. It is made of 55% Modacrylic and 45% Cotton which makes it comfortable and secure to wear. It is best to use this fire-resistant hooded jacket when welding to ensure the safety of the one wearing it.

The materials used to make this quality hooded jacket are treated to resist fire. As an addition, this FR hooded jacket is guaranteed for the life of the garment. The material used for the sleeves and front slash pockets is premium grade leather to increase the protection it provides the one wearing it.

This hooded jacket is sewn with fire resistance thread in all stress points and critical areas to ensure the longevity and durability of the product. This is also made with a detachable hood to help ensure the protection of the head and face. This is detachable to it can be removed to help the wearer see clearly when welding.

In addition, it also helps that it has FR reflective strips for increased worker visibility. It has FR resin zipper with a protective flap to cover the zipper to add protection.

Head Protection

 Protecting workers from head injuries is the # 1 priority on any production site and the most effective means of doing so is to equip workers with hard hats that meet applicable industry standards

A hard hat can protect you from cuts, scrapes, and bruises. It can protect you from falling objects, which can cause severe damage to the head and spine. It can prevent electric shock and limit your exposure to UV radiation from the sun. Hard Hats are used in almost every Industrial environment where the risk of overhead and falling objects are present.

There are primarily 2 types of Hard Hats recognized in the CSA Standard, Type 1 & Type 2. Type 1 Hard Hats will protect workers from impacts on top of the head, typically caused by falling objects or debris. Type 2 Hard Hats are designed to protect workers from falling debris as well as lateral ‘side’ impacts, typically caused by swinging or moving equipment. There are also different electrical ratings, a Class E Hard Has been tested and approved to provide electrical protection up to 20,000 Volts, and will be marked has such. A hard hat should normally be worn facing forward. It may be worn backwards so long as it has been tested and approved with the suspension in the reverse position, the Hard Hat will be marked with the CSA logo for reverse suspension
