areum was quick to look away from him as he speaks. she couldn’t understand how he was so quick to just insult someone. did he really know that guy so well ? was he looking out for her ? did he know something she didn’t ? it was hard for her to tell and she couldn’t build enough courage to ask. “ how could you just say something like that ? ” she asked shaking her head, “ you’re acting like i did something irrational. ” areum took a moment to think about what she was going to say since she wanted to just drop the conversation and move on but knew he might just keep going on. “ well it doesn’t matter if i do or not. ”  

knows that he should learn to be more supportive . especially when interactions with topic of conversation had been limited . doesn’t truly know their character but knows that he’d needed something to justify his dislike & that just happened to come in the form of snide remarks made by his own friends . ❝ with my mouth . i just open it & saying things just follows . ❞ irritation that laces itself into tone is unintentional . only decides to end things when realization that his own words can land him in water that’s much too hot for his liking . ❝ listen , you have free will . if you want to see them again then by all means . just don’t talk to me about it . ❞

it was impossible to not smile seeing how happy she was to be leaving. a low chuckled passed through the male’s lips, he shrugs his shoulders in response. “ yeah, i know how shitty people can be, trust me. ” sejun muttered standing next to the door awaiting her next steps and to just get out of the place. he couldn’ t imagine living in such a big place like this. a large amount of space, having to upkeep it, of course they clearly had the money but to him it just seemed excessive. “ what should we eat ? now that’s a good question… i think i would be down for a burger or even pizza. we don’t have to eat that of course, were you thinking about something else ? ”   he honestly didn’t know that much about her likes, dislikes, but he was curious. “ i’m not that much of a picky eater so since you want to go out, it can be your call… i can pick the next time.” 

joy is an emotion that isn’t familiar to her . not lately at least . spends most of time with frown displayed across features , tears permanently etched onto the skin of cheeks . won’t deny that it feels nice to smile once again . even if she’s all too aware that it won’t last long . ❝ so burgers or pizza . how about both ? ❞ suggestion isn’t entirely made out of hunger but instead the desire to prolong her time in the outside world . ❝ we can even get ice cream after . ❞ with the decisions made , she’s taking her chance at opening door and exiting the room she spends too much time in . focus will only shift completely when she’s walking past the walls of home she’d once held close to heart . everything seems unfamiliar now that she looks at it in bright lighting . it both dazzles & disturbs her . ❝ you can pick next time too . well , assuming there’s a next time . ❞

life had been void of things like romance & tender touches . lived her days with clear goal in mind & would never allow self to fall distracted by the things that held no true importance . perhaps that’s why she doesn’t understand the way other’s mindless way of brushing stray hair from features sets her body aflame . it makes her feel as if she’s found something worth keeping . knows that it may be too early for such ideas but it cannot be helped . not when swarm of butterflies have taken flight in the pits of her stomach . cheeks will only burn red when her hand is being taken , words that come with action only serving to fuel the feelings she’s trying to sedate . ❝ ours . ❞ word is repeated in whispered tone . almost hates how well the sentiment fits within the puzzle of her mind . had never imagined herself to be such a girl but alas . 

mention of date leaves her in surprise . would be a lie to say she’d expected such measures to be taken but nonetheless , she’s finding it to be something enjoyable . ❝ a date sounds nice . ❞ upon arrival at destination , delilah is quick to heed earlier instructions . isn’t sure what to expect as she climbs up fire escape ladder but knows that it hadn’t been what she was now face to face with . setup is something she’d only ever seen in movies . can remember only ever laughing at those scenes , something about the visual making her feel as if it wasn’t as grand as made out to be . except now her thoughts are something opposite to earlier ones . can instead feel heart rate quicken , smile now appearing onto tinted lips . ❝ it’s beautiful . ❞ words are true , inability to ever fully look away from it all being evidence of that . eventually though she’ll allow self to become less infatuated with view & more enticed by the person who had thought of setting it up . doesn’t take too much for girl to all but jump onto them , arms tightly wrapped around frame . ❝ thank you , it’s really great . ❞

believes to have said far too much from sight before very own hues . piqued interest plagues femmes much more delicate features , mentally deciphering words that had fallen past brims of cherub like a waterfall . wasn't thinking too deeply in to her words , no , but would never admit such a thing . unable to when the person of her admirations was the ever so distracted one before her . had blossomed a liking towards femme during numerous study sessions pair found themselves at yet remained clueless to what exactly it was that made beating heart of hers skyrocket , nearly beating out of confinements of chest every time . perhaps it was the lack of care in regards to just about anything , was a complete polar opposite of femme , perhaps piqued her interest just as much .    ‘    maybe .    ‘    is all that leaves chapstick tainted brims , reaching past counter for a highlighter .    ‘    do you enjoy playing matchmaker    ?    ‘    playful roll of hues is sent her way . though she’d never be able to create such a match for femme she’s sure . 

smile that appears onto curvature of lips is not one that’s particularly unfamiliar . has always flourished under situations that involve helping others , more so when the help needed is of the romance variety . uncertainty of her own love life tends to be reasoning behind constant nosiness but she’ll choose to think of it as a blessing before a curse . other’s question has soft bubbles of laughter escaping her , head nodding as form of response . ❝ yeah , i love it . ❞ won’t let subject be changed so easily though , focus quick to shift back onto the one thing that had caught her attention so far . ❝ so maybe . does the maybe have a name ? or even any spare information about them ? ❞ perhaps these study sessions would do better if she held the same level of interest in it . see , she’d be better off asking questions about the actual material rather than partner’s love life . not that she’ll be changing anything about these things . instead she’ll probably only grow worse . ❝ are they cute ? ❞

assortment  of  pastel  highlighters  are  lined  up  next  to  notebook  ,  notes  color  coded  to  the  brim  resembling  a  rainbow  after  a  sunny  shower  .  had  dove  deep  in  to  perfecting  both  her  calligraphy  and  note  taking  skills  and  had  grown  to  be  at  peace  with  current  aesthetic  that  painted  the  lines  of  her  composition  book  .  was  tracing  words  with  a  highlighter  when  femmes  words  caught  her  attention  .  petite  arms  cross  over  chest  at  femmes  sudden  attempt  to  play  match  maker  when  there  were  much  more  important  things  at  hand  ;  helping  her  pass  her  test    !    leans  back  in  to  chair  ,  making  sure  to  remain  poised  with  her  new  found  position  .    ‘    and  you  know  who  would  really  like  for  you  to  be  quiet  and  pay  attention    ?    me  .    ‘    brows  arch  as  she  sends  femme  a  mean  ,  as  mean  as  she  cherub  could  get  at  least  ,  glare  her  way  .    ‘    no    !    no  meeting  anyone  ,  okay    ?    i’m  not  even  in  to  your  friend  like  that  .  .  .    ‘    brown  locks  falling  past  features  as  voice  becomes  a  mere  whisper  as  words  that  trail  on  become  about  her  feelings  she  normally  didnt  bring  about  .  

own notebook pages lay mostly bare before her ,  any charcoal decorating pages coming from mindless scribbles . focus isn’t something she’s skilled at , much less so when it comes to academics . pout only graces lips after other’s words echo in her ears . is all too aware that she should pay some mind . after all , these studies will only benefit her . however she knows that it won’t be happening that way . not when irresponsibility is etched so deeply into bones . ❝ don’t glare , you’ll get wrinkles . ❞ words are hushed and hands are ditching effort to pick up phone . doesn’t intend on annoying femme more than need be . not yet anyway . is prepared to settle back into pretend focus when something else catches attention enough to have hands moving to fold under chin , eyes sparkling in curiosity , ❝ that’s fair , you don’t have to be into her . however , are you into someone at least ? or am i thinking too deeply into your words . ❞

dolores + ning . 

            this  was  one  of  the  worst  things  that  could  happen  to  the  mutant.  even  worse  than  being  beaten  at  a  fight.  she  would  at  least   go  down  with  her  pride  if  that  was  to  happen.  now,  she  was  stuck  with  this  person  who  thought  they  had  a  leverage  against  ning. hanying  would  definitely  make  ning  regret  her  decision  of  giving  such  a  promise  if  she  had  known. ‘  this  is  plenty. ’  she  murmured,  trying  to  cover  up  her  words  with  a  fake  smile  on  her  lips.  pretending  to  be  not  bothered  was  harder  than  she  thought.  ‘  act  natural.  as  if  you’d  with  any  of  your  friends.  ’

acting natural is far from what she’ll be doing . while she remains aware that behavior can be seen as petty , dolores finds that she doesn’t truly care . ❝ well , we’re not friends are we ? ❞ words are soft & come paired with nose crinkling grin . ❝ so how good a favor are we talking here ? is it going to be something worthwhile or will i be forced to settle for it being something like free coffee . ❞ inability to force self into making true conversation , she’s instead settling for whispered tones & pretty expressions . can’t deny that being so close to other makes her feel pleasant but perhaps that also lies in the knowledge of what she’ll be getting for doing so . ❝ i’m thinking you help me with redoing my little studio . i’m not keen on doing it alone honestly . ❞

daniel + shiloh . 

it isn’t often that shiloh looses her temper. she tries her best not to let feelings of anger take over. people who have known her for her whole life have never heard her snap but she’s still human, a sensitive one at that, and there’s only so much she can take, ‘you can be a real asshole sometimes, you know that?’ it’s rare to here the girl swear, even rarer for that ever present smile to fade away. still she does not get up. she won’t. despite his behavior towards her she’s not going to leave him drunk and on the steps of his apartment. it wasn’t in her nature to leave people behind. instead she stares at her sneakers, folds her arms over her knees and let’s out a huff, ‘how many other people did you text before me? a few, i’m sure. well, i’m sorry none of them came but i did so i guess you’re stuck with me. i know you hate me and think i’m annoying but you’re stuck with me.’ it’s probably the only time she’s ever been stern with him in the years they’ve known each other, ‘so stop being a jerkface and deal with it.’

❝ i don’t hate you. ❞ confusion has laced itself into the lining of his brain , head tilting much like one of the puppies he watches over . ❝ what makes you think i hate you ? ❞ sure , he’d never been particularly warm towards femme but he’d never felt such ill emotions towards her . had always just considered her someone that was just there . perhaps it’d been that indifference that had led her to such conclusions . hands will soon reach for can of beer that sits beside him , drink taken in order to sedate thoughts that have began to swirl within confines of his head . ❝ i’ve never hated anyone in my life . ❞ words are added in as an afterthought , honesty coating every single syllable . despite how awful he could be , he’d never been too concerned with allowing people to get under his skin so much so that he hated them . second drink is taken before can is being set down again . no words follow it this time around , instead eyes are glancing at girl who’d come to keep him company . can’t recall moment in time that he’d ever truly looked at her as someone who was her own person & not just the sibling of a friend . maybe it was time that he did .

the brunette was stunned at the other’s words. “ do you really think they’re terrible and unworthy of my company ? ” the questioned tilting her head in slight confusing. “ is someone jealous ? ” areum was quick to pick up on what they were saying though a small part of her was shocked that they were so vocal to speak up. she knew they weren’t the greatest person to be seen with but she did believe in chances. “ it was simply just coffee. ” areum reassured them with a small smile. she took the cushion that was next to her and placed it on her lap for her to hug. “ its honestly not that big of a deal. ” @armstvnite​  | ♥

has never been someone who is particularly talented at biting his tongue . anything he thinks or feels must be verbalized to some degree & that’s exactly what’s happening currently . ❝ terrible ? no , they’re just straight fucking garbage . ❞ insult is made as way to sway conversation from topic of his own jealousy . that’s the one thing he’s never been great at speaking about . nonetheless , he’s sure that it’s been made clear regardless of whether it’s pointed out . her reassurances should soothe him but they don’t . perhaps he’s just too heated over such small affairs . especially ones that were far from being his business . ❝ are you two getting coffee again then ? ❞

his own hardship made it difficult to want to do his job completely as they wanted him to. of course it would be easy to get her to just sit in this room and not allow her to leave but she wasn’t a prisoner. she didn’t deserve to just rot in her room. she wasn’t a teenager. he couldn’t get over the guilt that was beginning to build but he took on the job for the money, to hopefully clear his name, not be associated with that tragic memory that had been displayed on the news and tarnished his reputation at the time. at her answer, his reaction was reflected in his smile. “ yeah, ” he answered simply with a nod. who was he to deny her food. he just hoped that she wasn’t some sort of athlete runner. he rose from his seat and shoved his hands in his pocket. “ that’s fine, i’m hungry too so lets get some fresh air. lets just not waste too much time out. it’ll be late getting back.  ”

is almost surprised when other agrees to her demand . previous bodyguards had never allowed her any leniency & that alone had forced her into perfecting her get away skills . doesn’t hesitate to bounce off of mattress , genuine grin appearing onto curvature of lips . ❝ you’re nicer than the last guy . ❞ words are casual enough , true evidence of the way she’s grown accustomed to talking about the people who’ve ran through the job of keeping her locked up . wishes that nice was enough to make her enjoy this though . perhaps then she’d allow self to become complacent with plans father has set for her future . instead she’s left with a bubble of guilt popping in the depth of her chest . finds this humorous — how quickly she’d changed tunes over such simple agreement . also finds that it’s sad . once upon a time , she wouldn’t have been pleased with such simplicities . no , she’d only be satisfied with the best . however , basic decency has been lacking in her everyday life so this little taste of it sets her aflame . ❝ what should we get ? what do you like to eat ? ❞

had she caught him staring at her? he wasn’t sure. his thoughts were quick to come up to assumptions sometimes that weren’t always the truth. instead; he tried to mix into the conversation his friends were having. but when in the side of his eyes noticed the familiar figure walking closer to him, he could feel his heart beating in his neck. his cheeks immediately turned soft pink as she confronted him about staring at her. “i - – i’m -s- so sorry i - did-didn’t me-eant to,” he stuttered softly. 

though she feels slightly bad over sudden decision to put other on the spot , smile can’t help but appear on lips . ❝ hey , it’s no biggie . everyone stares sometimes . ❞ she can’t truly be upset over it anyway . not when it’s boosted her ego ever so slightly & given her the chance to interact with someone new . adores her own friends but remains all too aware of how much she’ll be playing caretaker later on in the night . perhaps this is her one chance to have moments without the chaos of retrieving drunken buddies . ❝ i’m gwen & you are ? ❞

luz took a glance at her best friend before she looked away to the skateboard that she was holding with her hand. “i’m leaving for a while. m - my sister called me and she needed help with her wedding and stuff,” luz told her. a part of this isn’t a lie, her sister is going to get married soon .. yet there had been no phone call from her asking for luz her help. besides, luz would probably the last person her sister would ask for. they are just so different from each other. “i’ll be back within a few months though..”

words hardly soothe the worries that have bloomed yet she finds herself forcing smile onto lips . knows that if she can’t offer anything else then at least she should fake happiness for other’s choices . ❝ wow , that sounds really nice . planning a wedding can be hard so i’m sure your sister will appreciate the help . ❞ steadiness in tone only remains after internal battle is won , any disappointment that threatens to leak into outward expressions having been momentarily sedated . ❝ i’ll miss you a lot though . i think even a few months will be hell without you . ❞
