The Übernatürliches Kommunionskorps or UNKK (CW FOR: MENTIONS OF SA, CULT SACRIFICE, BODY HORROR)
Translating into English as the Supernatural Communion Corps, the UNKK was officially founded after the opening of the veil in 1916... though like many veil-related groups appears to have origins years if not decades before. Since the beginning the corps their purpose has been to weaponize the knowledge and things from beyond the veil, particularly specializing in communication (or communion) with Others, the creation of homunculi, modification of the living, and the resurrection of the dead. Many of their projects have heavily influenced the course of the war and committed many despicable crimes, infamous projects include: The Mizgestalten Project (CW FOR BODY HORROR) - The transmutation of humans into large monstrous part-horse creatures. Their usage necessitated the guidance of UNKK Commandos to prevent the monsters from running loose on German lines. The Donroschen Project (CW FOR SA, CULT SACRIFICE) - The sacrifice of a number of pregnant women to summon a veil creature to assist in the murder of a crystalline monster birthed from a chrysalis found in the Black Forest. The crystalline monster's corpse was used to modify mizgestalts into "donroschen," a much more intelligent and resilient monster. The women sacrificed were first unfortunately subject to SA, rituals done simultaneously were often done carelessly--many did not survive this section. Some in the early attempts at the project who survived the ritual, SA, and avoided the sacrifice were left with a fire spirit merged with their being... this did provide a variety of whisper-like abilities from the spirits, seemingly sympathizing with the women they were bound to. The Nettchen Project (CW FOR SA) - The attempt to test human reproductive compatibility with veil creatures, subjects were forced. Other projects included the growth of homunculi for livestock (which led to the end of the famine in Germany due to the Ententé blockade) and alliance with various Others (partially responsible for the breaking of the Ententé blockade and invasion of Normandy). Their influence had spread through much of Prussia, Austria, and areas occupied from the Russian Empire by the start of the German Civil War. As a part of the German Civil War they initiated an invasion of Normandy and restarted the Great War.
