HAPPY THIRD EVER INTERNATIONAL AROMANTIC VISIBILITY DAY
(5th of June)
HAPPY FOURTH EVER INTERNATIONAL AROMANTIC VISIBILITY DAY!!
June 1st is TOMORROW. It means that GAY PEOPLE will exist, but only for ONE MONTH. Do not forget to buy your tickets to see them NOW, or else you will have to wait AN ENTIRE YEAR to be able to meet them AGAIN.
If u want to write a story about a character that’s just you but hotter with a dark twisted backstory and magical powers and a pet falcon or something, I think u should just go ahead and do that. Who’s gonna stop you? The government?? Fuck the police.
What if someone barges in, points at said character and scream, “Mary Sue!”
Tell them to come back with a warrant
This post came across my dash again and now I am having an absolute blast with self insert hotter me that gets the girls and guys everywhere.
This is the Way

need a permission slip? have a permission slip
my dream is to make a statement so true and verifiable that no one could misinterpret it even fi they were trying.
... Instead of end world hunger? What's wrong with you?
Advice on Endings
I hate ending my stories. I will drag a story on long after it should have ended even though I know it should be done with. If anyone else struggles as well, here is a list of the different types of endings that are common.
Full Circle – Mirror the beginning of the story, show how the tone has shifted from start to end
Bittersweet – Character wins at the cost of something else, creates emotional depth
Emotional resolution – Focuses more on the growth of the characters than the events of the story
Twist – reveal something that changes the readers perspective or understanding
Open – doesn’t answer all the questions or solve all the conflicts of the story, leaving room for interpretation
Quiet – Subtle, reflective ending rather than a dramatic event
Sacrifice – The character has to give something up to achieve a greater goal
Hopeful – Despite the events of the story, there is a distinct sense that everything will be okay
Consequence – Shows how the characters choices throughout the story impact the world or their relationship
Character choice – centers on a decision that defines who the character has become through the story
Mother Theresa trudging through the gutters of Calcutta: "I can't give medical aid to these people, but I can wash them up, give them a clean bed, and hold their hands as they die."
The Internet for some reason: "she wasn't even a doctor! She had no right to help those poor unwanted dying people, she was literally so evil!"
She was repeatedly accused of denying painkillers and anesthesia, and forcefully baptized dying people too delirious with pain and illness to consent :/
The fanatic, fraudulent Mother Teresa.
even after people explain to you what she had done wrong you still defend her. her actions can NOT be excused in "she made a lil mistake :(" way. what's wrong with you. unability to take criticism of your saints is not making catholicism look good you know that.
“Mother Teresa withheld painkillers from the dying with the intent of getting them to suffer” This accusation orientates from Hitchens presenting an article published by Dr. Robin Fox on the Lancet. What is not mentioned however is how Dr Fox prefaced his article, he went on to note that he valued Mother Teresa’s hospice for their “open-door policy, their cleanliness, tending of wounds and loving kindness”, he further went on to add that “the fact that people seldom die on the street is largely thanks to the work of Mother Teresa and her mission” and that most of “the inmates eat heartily and are doing well and about two-thirds of them leave the home on their feet”. Dr Fox goes on to note that most of the inmates present in MoC hospices were rejected by local hospitals in Bengal, only then does he criticise the organisation for “the lack of strong analgesics and the lack of proper medical investigations and treatments”. The latter can be explained by the fact that the MoC ran hospices with nuns who had limited medical training and that the nuns had to make decisions with the best of their abilities (they were doctors who voluntarily visited these hospices but this was only once or twice a week). The context of all this should be kept in mind, they lacked modern health algorithms and the people in these hospices who needed care, were refused admission by hospitals. To someone rejected by a hospital, it was either to struggle on the streets and die or visit the local hospice run by the MoC and get some semblance of assistance. However, the accusation that she “withheld” painkillers is false. Dr Fox notes that weak analgesics (like acetaminophen) were used to alleviate pain, lacking was stronger analgesics such as morphine. The wording used here is crucial in understanding the situation, he notes “a lack of painkillers” without stating its cause, he doesn’t mention that St Teresa was withholding them with the intent of making people suffer more.

You claim to care about facts but can't even be bothered to check your own sources. You are an embarrassment and mockery to free thinking. You claim to be against misinformation but parade it around like deity as long as it's in favor or your narrow minded, half witted notion of what you deem is right. You are as backwards as an ass and half as intellectually inclined.
if she had access to heavy duty painkillers like morphine and gave it to anyone who wanted they just call her a murder who hasten death.
#Do people not realize in the US these substances are heavily controlled and require a hospice nurse
Also, the line "You are as backwards as an ass and half as intellectually inclined." is absolute gold.
someone mentioned it's gonna be June 1st tomorrow and after a moment my brain went... june... huh... OMG PRIDE MONTH!!
I liked an asexual post and it was the ace flag and anfoqnfoendiwkskdk my joy for all this is through the roof ajflaifnsndkd
I'm just saying, if you're going to worldbuild magic being a "raw, primal force, akin to and interweaving with nature itself" you gotta explain to me why animals don't use it
I know the normal answer is "they just aren't smart enough for it" but idk I've seen enough media where a character uses a spell in a moment of brain-off panic ilI feel like animals could probably stumble into a spell or two like, accidentally
Also how funny would it be to see a completely normal regular bear cast magic missile outta nowhere
Also there is no way ravens wouldn't figure out spells, tbh
They're smart fuckin birds, I believe in them
Either through observing or just figuring shit out ravens could 100% learn how to cast spells I'm sure of it
Dogs can also cast Magic Missile but every time they do the projectile is shaped like a bone or a stick and they chase after it
group of wizards who ask this in-universe, and after extensive study learn to their surprise that animals are casting spells all the time, just that their magic is so fundamental as to be unrecognizable to humans. turns out the only reason acorns grow on trees is because squirrels keep wishing for them.

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.
give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.
while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.
