Caviare Days - Interview

Caviare Days is an amazing swedish band fronted by two sisters : Lina and Maja. They have released their self-titled album about two years ago, and are now writing new songs. The band’s sound is retro with beautiful harmonies, and their music videos are very creative. I sent them an email a few weeks ago, and they gave me very interesting and complete answers :

Hello Caviare Days! I know that Lina and Maja started the band, and then were joined by Timmy, Boris and Marcus. How did you all meet, and what does your band name mean?

We made an EP in New York in 2009 (produced by Jorge Elbrecht), and the response was real good so we figured we really needed a band. We found Timmy through mutual friends and through him we basically got Marcus and Boris. Along the way, we’ve have some people come and go, but now the five of us stick together. The name ‘Caviare Days’ is a line taken from “Tender is the Night”, a F. Scott Fitzgerald from 1934. Initially, it was just a working title for our demo project, and then as the project quickly turned bigger it came along. Either way, it represents a hedonistic fantasy of sunshine, champagne, and all things of carefree luxury coming together.
