ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE SO FORGIVE ANY MISTAKE AND BE AWARE THERE ARE SPOILERS AHEAD
I was super hyped at first when I learned Japan was a big inspiration for this world. I knew that nothing could beat Amphoreus for me so the expectations were low but, I have to say I found more than one pleasant segments.
I like the vibes of the world itself, not a big fan of the technology and fantasy of some elements (the whole Pearl tower and more) but it's ok. I think this is the most reality-wise world for now. I don't particularly like Aha too, I find it a weaker authority of a god in the game, (just think of how imposing and important was\is Nanook in comparison) but everything is still unfolding so we'll have to see.
As a big big Skott enthusiast I'm devastated and hope they'll pull some "everyone gets back to life" stunt even if it's cliché. In fact, until now the part I liked the most was the brainwashing at Graphia Academy and the shoujo they pulled on us: being highschoolers and having this enemies to lovers (unrequited rip) trope with Skott. It was fun and engaging and it helped us glimpse into Skott's character more.
Sparxie was a big nightmare for me at the start, I can't help but despise every Masked Fool, does this say something about me? So it was super satisfying when we defeated her but that fusion with Sparkle? A big no-no for me. Found it boring and confusing. Even though by the end of 4.3 her character got more light I'm still unsure about her character.
I like Ashveil the most out of all new characters (if we exclude Grey/ciderbone, I love that guy do much what is wrong with me I need a spin off about him).
Meanwhile Yao Guang is a big no. She's never there when needed and did almost nothing plot wise, until this point I find her character an extra with wasted potential. It's super cool how she predicts the future but then again she's running around and we never interact with her so...no for now.
Pearl is a mystery and even if she's presented to us as an antagonist I still like her character, both in originality and in design. The paints strokes as her power are beautiful in the cut scenes!
Fulwish is a maybe. A literal example of a villain in narrative. While a hero uses trauma as fuel to be helpful towards others, a villain uses it as a justification to create despair. Her character is complex but still a bit blurry. I would have liked it more if they developed her story a bit differently, maybe more clearly, it's cool how she basically challenges a god trying to destroy the game he enjoys so, but again, it came across as more annoying than glorifying. Again, she's a Masked Fool...what can I expect?
For now I find the stellaron hunters presence completely random. Blade's character suddenly changing from wanting to destroy Dan Heng to "seeing you reassures me"??? Mh. Even if it's good to see them together again after their story and all, I feel like they took away the most intriguing part of his character, the impulsivity, the hunger for vengeance. He's somehow appearing in this world and he is like: I'll sacrifice myself just because I'm suddenly a good guy???? No, didn't like it. I know he'll likely become an Emanatour of Abundance and I'm so ready for it but still his choices until now feel out of character.
I didn't particularly like Silver Wolf until now but I might have changed my mind. I found her scenes super cool and her humor relatable and refreshing.
The scene where we get pulled in in that tunnel void like by our evil self? Super cool, but it ended there and never got addressed again.
I like the antagonist that silver wolf fights (the smily face) and I'm super hyped for a face reveal!!!
Honorable mention for the dialogue option where we can decide on a catch phrase from a character we encountered in the past, I got to see my beautiful boy Phainon the world is blessed again.
Im still alive lol, since I consume a big big amount of content, i’ve been thinking about making an Instagram account where i review/recommend Manwha, Manga and Anime! Would you be willing to follow me there?
DISCLAIMER: A YANDERE IS A CHARACTER TYPE (MOSTLY FROM ANIME, MANGA, AND GAMES) WHO STARTS OUT SWEET, LOVING, AND DEVOTED, BUT WHOSE LOVE TURNS OBSESSIVE AND VIOLENT WHEN THEY FEEL THREATENED OR JEALOUS. BEWARE IT'S A SENSITIVE TOPIC SO IF YOU'RE NOT INTO IT I SUGGEST SKIPPING THESE READS.
RECOMMENDING ANIMES BY MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER IN THEM
SOMETIMES I FIND MYSELF LIKING A SHOW WITHOUT HAVING A CLEAR FAVORITE AND OTHER TIMES I HAVE MULTIPLE CHARACTERS I STAN IN THE SAME SHOW, SO, SOME OF THESE ARE A BIT STRETCHED
