I love the genre of supernatural horror comedy. Bonus points for chaotic teamwork. "Would you mind getting out of my way? I greatly value my life over yours."
(reccomendations are appreciated :) )

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It’s a Happily Ever After
Synopsis: Dr. Arden returns to her birth country (Korea) from the US to advise the US Army. There she stays with a childhood friend and her friend’s controlling husband. While there she becomes enamored with the mysterious. Dr. Lee a local physician.
Review: Takes a minute before things get cooking but so worth it. Really interesting plot, kept me on the edge of my seat. Dr. Arden’s and Dr Lee’s chemistry was off the charts and the creators kept the smut very tasteful. It took a hot minute but the romance developed into something really sweet. Loved that two mcs were very smart, strong, and passionate women. Villain is a sexist and evil piece of crap so be warned he infuriated me. I also adored Dr. Arden’s friend Jinni, such a great friend. Great read!
starting a series ☆bug rates office BL☆
1st up is the new recruit! i just finished this so despite having a loooong list of office romance, i figured i gotta start somewhere lol
my thoughts 💭:
⭐️ 8/10 | The New Recruit
a solid office romance and honestly a good starter BL
one thing i liked was that the office setting actually mattered. the workplace dynamics and office politics played a role instead of just being a backdrop
i also liked the MC’s relationship anxiety and how both leads were kind of messy adults figuring out love later in life. it felt more relatable seeing them stumble through relationships
the “willing to risk it all because he loved him” moments definitely hit too (。ŏ﹏ŏ)
i appreciated the best friend character as well. i liked that the story acknowledged the outing situation instead of glossing over it, and the lesbian representation was a nice addition 💟
it’s shorter than a lot of BLs, which made it a nice break from longer reads while still feeling complete and not rushed
nothing groundbreaking but a good enjoyable office romance that i’d recommend, especially if you’re newer to BL!
Some of my favorite modern set manwha MLs
Taemu Kang (A business proposal)
Genres: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Slice of life, Office workers.
Taemu Kang is THE CEO manwha male lead, starting out with a strict no-nonsense attitude that slowly softens into a… why-should-I-work-when-I-can-spend-my-time-being-in-love? attitude as he falls in love with Ha-ri, the female lead.
Doyun Nam (Act like you love me)
Genres: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Show-biz, Supernatural.
Literally one of the funniest manwha’s I have read. This man is riddled with anxiety and depression and he tries oh so hard despite the… unfortunate(lol) situations this story and the female leads gets him into.
Yoo Ji-hyuk (Marry my husband)
Genres: Drama, Romance, Psychological, Revenge, Reincarnation, Office workers.
The winner of yearning right here. I won’t spoil anything because you need to read it yourself but DANG.
Seunghyeon Kang (Daytime star)
Genres: Show-biz, Drama, Romance.
He is an inspiration to the female lead, she is an inspiration to him, they are so beautiful and supporting of each other.
Doo Joon Kang (Posotively yours)
Genres: Slice of life, Comedy, Romance, Drama.
The kind of man who doesn’t need to say the word “love” to show love. Even in stressful situations (and trust me, it gets stressful) he handles things maturely and well while also making sure the female lead is okay. The female lead and their baby is always his priority.
Seungmin Ha (My first love hate)
Genres: College life, Drama, Romance, Childhood friends.
I’m usually not a super fan of childhood friends to lovers stories, but this one had a kick to it. He’s really trying to get back into the good graces of the female lead after some mistakes he made (but not really). But also, look, he wears glasses. A glasses wearing ml is always a win.
Beomjin Kwon (The dawn to come)
Genres: Drama, Romance, School life.
A bad boy, both as a teenager and adult, who is only soft with the female lead. And I mean SOFT, as in driving for hours just to lie next to her for a short while, while she sleeps, only to have to leave again before she even wakes up. So cute.
𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩: 𝙝𝙖𝙣_𝙝𝙚_𝘽𝙇 (𝙤𝙣 𝙓)
I just caught up to Dr. Kim of London (Webtoon) and Im now 100% more appreciative of living in the 21st century. THANK HEAVENS IM NOT THERE. Im so sorry for ever dreaming about being reincarnated in the past. Im deeply regretful.
BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY GO THROUGH THE P3NIS OR CUT IT OFF TO REACH YOUR KIDNEY STONES?? WITHOUT SEDATION?? THEY AMPUTATE WITHOUT SEDATION?? WITHOUT HANDWASHING??
I'm actually getting sick just thinking about it because holy.
Also... I love this webtoon. Definitely going on my Top 5 manwhas. DEEPLY RECCOMEND ITS WORTH CHECKING OUT!!
