FAQ
What is this blog?
It’s a blog to share writing prompts centered around aromanticism! Aromanticism is being talked about more, but there is still a lack of stories about aromantic experiences. I hope this blog might help inspire some writers who want to talk about aromanticism but are down on ideas.
Prompts on this blog may include any of the following:
Prompts about aromanticism in general, or specific identities/subgroups within the community;
Prompts that don’t openly specify an identity, but deal with experiences common in the aro community such as being confused or off putted by romance, or experiencing strong platonic feelings;
Prompts about non-romantic relationships (queerplatonic, sexual, and so on);
Prompts about aromantic people in romantic relationships;
Prompts about dealing with arophobia or amatonormativity;
Prompts that twist known romance-focused tropes around into a less conventional reading.
If you want to look for specific prompts, take a look at the tags page to search for posts within specific categories.
How many prompts do you post in a day?
The prompts run on a queue. At present time, I post one prompt a day since I’m only one person. However, if there was a steady stream of submissions, I may increase the amount of posts per day.
Can I submit a prompt?
Of course, and I encourage it! Use the ask function to send prompts in. Please take a look at the submission guidelines first. Your prompt will be put on a queue, so it may take a few days for you to see it on the blog.
Do I have to credit you to use a prompt?
If you want, but it’s not necessary.
Do you accept prompts requests?
Sorry but no. Maybe in the future or in special occasions, but I don’t really have the time and energy for it.
