How would you have felt if you had E. Coli poisoning- or worse, died- and all the farmer responsible said, “There is E. Coli in our spinach and we are really upset that human bodies are not more strong and healthy to protect against these things.” That’s what Apple just did. In September, an undisclosed number of Video iPods were sold with a Windows virus called RavMon.exe on them. This is a serious issue and one that should be dealt with swiftly and effectively.

I'm a big fan of Apple products. But there's no escaping the fact that Apple has always been, well, arrogant...building slap-in-the-face insults into product betas? I can’t think of any other company with the gall to do that. ...also pushes around carrier partner AT&T, content providers in Hollywood, component suppliers, the press, bloggers – just about everyone the company depends on for its continued success

Apple has taken the position that its products don’t have security concerns. The only people that guarantee security are fools or liars. Just as Microsoft deserved criticism for being so arrogant about security concerns, now it is Apple’s turn.

Perhaps if Apple used a spokesperson that was more humble and self-deprecating Windows users would be less offended. Maybe Apple needs to drop the hoddie-wearing beatnick in the commercials in favor or someone that's more sensitive and universally appealing.
