I think in the beginning it was difficult for Light to interact with Pariah for several reasons. he only wanted to cure her, but she saw him as a guardian and something like a parent because she had no contact with other scavs. Light didn't understand these expressions of affection from a lower being, as he considered her to be. but he himself became attached to her, although he didn't show it - he preferred to stick to his arrogant, once majestic side.
although there was a big misunderstanding between them, as a result of which Pariah escaped, maybe I'll draw something about it... but one could say that this is how her separation and return to her species began lmaoo
something from light's lore, the dark past edgy thingyy! he's a cutie now but then
"...Light was also a full-fledged member of the top leadership of his city, and almost all decisions were made only with his verdict, so he was involved in politics. He was respected, idolized, and some feared him, because from one moment he began to participate in the executions of the guilty. People sentenced to death were thrown into the Light's chamber, after their citizen ID drones had been deactivated, where he killed them.
Death penalty from Light of Hope was considered mercy. The convicted one was executed by the creature thanks to whom they lived, since they was born and raised on the rooftop, enjoying the benefits that iterator provides. It was believed that Light of Hope "cleansed" the convicted one, giving them the light of hope that this unfortunate sinner would be reborn in the next cycle and redeem their soul, realizing everything, no matter who they becomes.."
asriel has always been my favorite UT character... in 2017-2018 I was constantly drawing him and generally associated myself with him xD (...we have nothing in common)
still love him!!
happy 1st cycle!! :D
tidings and his proud creator
I like to think that iterators need some lil time to adapt to their puppets. still, in relation to the whole superstructure, it's a small but rather complex "organ", a means of communication that has own limbs and is capable of expressing some emotions
HI I just found your blog and got my socks eyebrows and eyelashes blown clean off by your awesome ass art. The colors??? The character designs, the lore?!?!? The texture and lighting and colors again and awwoiag the all of it ohhhhhh my god. Genuinely so inspirational to me gaggrgg. You are so cool and awesome I hope you never have wrist pain ever and have eternal motivation for any art piece you wanna do forever!!!
what can i say except UWAEUWUEUWUWUWUASWASAWDFAWERRWEREDWQ..........
Hi! Your art is very cool and I was wondering- do you have commissions open? (Or do you plan on opening them?)
hello!! thank you so much! tbh I'm not a fan of commissions haha, my custom drawings always turn out U G L Y
I appreciate your interest but I can't say if I'll ever open them, maybe in some future
well actually... I prefer to draw adoptables for toyhouse :D that's what I love, creating character designs!
little guide on how to create your own iterator's puppet feat. Tidings :D
according to my headcanons, the old puppets are mechanical, the new ones contain a large amount of organic matter. here's a little weird concept!
I really like the combination of mechanisms and organics, this gives me Giger's art vibe
meet Tidings, the chonkiest random god (and his brother)
finally redrew his ref sheet %D
his wires are covered with a dense sheath and some of them are just cosmetic but I like how they are connected in a "queue" like na'vi
↓ the dumb lore
— All the wonders of this new world hidden to all eyes, but ours.
Hundred Joyful Tidings is part of a risky project to create a unique superstructure modeled on how the two hemispheres of the brain work. It's a combined, powerful and large superstructure, divided into two separate consciousnesses, two different personalities, coexisting with each other.
Tidings is the equivalent of the right hemisphere. He approaches the tasks assigned to him with unconventional, creative methods, while his brother, Pure Tone of Single Note, who is also the second half of the project and the equivalent of the left hemisphere, is responsible for computational processes and mathematical calculations. They were fused, just like siamese twins.
Their project was developed by two ancients who were brothers, equally different in nature — an architect-creator and a mathematician-astrologer. They believed that their shared creations together could create a perfect synergy, demonstrating results unachievable by any other iterator.
Tidings and Note didn't meet the expectations of their creators: two personalities trapped in one can couldn't find mutual understanding, which didn't establish the perfect symbiosis between them. Soon, one of the creator brothers became disillusioned with them, considering that too much money and reputation had been spent on the implementation of the idea that didn't meet expectations. Second creator continued to support his dream project for some time, but in the end it was clear that he too was disappointed and very upset. In the course of some conflicts, Note and Tidings were confronted with the fact that they couldn't cope with the responsibilities of even one ordinary iterator. Of course, this was a severe blow to both creations.
Iterator brothers became a standard part of a local group. Choosing to push aside the thought that the two of them had been deemed a disappointment, Tidings focused on his work ahead. Initially, he was programmed to study living organisms down to the smallest detail, which eventually resulted in a genuine interest in every element of the surrounding world and a strong love of life. He showed himself to be a positive, emotional and quite hardworking iterator.
One of his abilities is recognition of emotions and states of living beings. Tidings automatically analyzes all incoming data, from speech to primitive gestures and reactions, which helps him to understand others with great sensitivity. In this way, he reads the moods and feelings of various creatures, ancients when they were still alive, and even other iterators, based on dialogues with them.
The hardest thing for him to understand is his own brother, despite the fact that they have been connected all their lives. Many cycles have passed, but Tidings sometimes thinks that he will never be able to truly understand him — he's too different in his eyes, different from everyone he knows. However, he doesn't see him just as a purely computing machine, confidently believing that there is something else behind it, it's just beyond his power to get to it.
To some extent, Tidings sometimes envies Note's emotional deafness. His true desire isn't to break the cycle, but to become a part of it, to gain that endless freedom of rebirth that he will never have. Tidings sees no point in the ancension of ancients, in finding a solution, although he continues to actively work on it.
He's a chaotic creator who finds the whole world beautiful, and it will remain so even after his death. And for many cycles, he had never doubted it.
wanted to make a quick fanart of @arrownickey character, Life's Greatest Illusion. I know I usually draw wof stuff but I may have liked playing Rainworld too much to not talk about it.
Especially that I love the concept of iterators - I'm not sure I fully get them (don't want to spoil myself the game) but playing a rat in post-ap game and finding out about sentient AI built to allow the long gone civilization to reach ascension, tossing aside their earthly desires, which is impossible, as the only possible way iterators found to do so was death is... addictive. And also trying not to die thousand time to a rouge vulture or figuring out how to make friends with packs of feral, pearl-loving radioactive cats
And Illusion is one of those iterators that couldn't fulfill the purpose they were built for, so even though they started as a simple machine, they grew sentient enough to hate, their creators, their situation, maybe themselves. Because how can you tear a sentient being out of void, shove them into the cold, brutal reality, to satisfy those that cannot be satisfied, to not love them despite how hard they try?
imagine what it would be like to be a primitive machine that lacked any feelings. and then... you discover a some kind of feeling within yourself, but you aren't even able to express it, being constrained by your own protocols.
Even after discovering hatred within themself, Illusion couldn’t even speak about it for a very long time. It was something unusual, unnatural for them, they barely even knew what feelings was, because they were a prototype. If they wanted to convey something, they could only give a formulaic, machine-like answer because their programs were higher than them. Higher than.. Something like a nascent personality that they shouldn't have had.
p.s rip proto overseer it had a very, very bad boss
PLEASE WHAT BRUSHES DO YOU USE YOUR ART IS SO SCRUMPTIOUS
hey, thank you!
most likely my brushes will be useless to you. I draw in SAI2 which is an old pirated repack (yo-ho-ho) or something... and in this repack I have a set of default textures that none of my friends have
this is a special story lmao I downloaded it probably 8 years ago
but I can offer you this old thing :D any pencil-like brush will do, just add water fringe and noise!
cartoonish doodles huh?! (Swapped 2026)
if this movie had been released when I was a child, it would have become my fav!
It's definitely childish stuff, but it has cool designs and oh god I love the conflict between the main characters, this is something interesting
This is Pariah! She's looking for her place in the world.
She was born very weak, probably her tribe abandoned her, as often happens in nature — weak offspring don't survive. But she was saved and raised by an iterator, who slightly modified her body for normal life support. Well... She grew up very big, literally a scavenger on steroids!Â
Due to her appearance, large size, and origin associated with an iterator, many scavengers are afraid of her, so her path isn't easy. She has to find her new home and thank Light of Hope for her rescue by fulfilling the last request for his local group.
my interpretation of unmasked ancients! :P
funy funy guys, I don't really know what to say this time. their bodies may have a variety of appendages and bristles, but they're actually big fans of modifying themselves, probably someone likes to amputate it all
also my bro, great architect, researcher and artist! he's also in the first picture in the upper right corner.
Song (Endless Song among Wild Winds), one of Tidings and Note's creator brothers
lol I drew this thing in Magma overnight
this is a smol comic with my and my friend's iterator characters! Note was created by my friend, also she's the Goldie's creator in our undertale AU!

My friend and I were once discussing how Note didn't have a puppet at first. His and his brother's creators simply decided not to grant him such a privilege because his work was purely computational, meaning a puppet wasn't necessary. Well...
That didn't stop Tidings from trying to contact him, even before he knew what his brother was like.
