“... Eight, if I may, it’s 3:30 in the morning, what problem has arisen for the sake of being out here at such a dire hour?”

“Excellent! I’m sure you will find this as interesting as I have! Let’s see… Where should I begin…”

The archer folded one arm across his chest, while the other rose to his chin, pondering to where his probably never-ending lecture should start.

“Ah! Perfect. As well are well aware, Phantoma are the essence of ones soul, their personal- being, if I may. However; there are many different phantoma that can be extracted from the large array of creatures and humans that roam these lands, even the l’cie.”

With a small flick of his wrist, his grip was released from his chin, moving only inches away.

“The type of Phantoma, may relate to their artistic means of said creatures. However, us humans can- in a way, lend others Phantoma to another in a way of increased power. This would not exterminate us, but merely leave us in a weakened state. Which leads to the question- is are Phantoma able to regrow into different bounds of the soul itself? Very interesting…”

Trey was about to continue his rant, with no end to seem to be in sight, but an eye caught back onto Cinque, as he had entirely forgotten that she was listening, and had just begun to speak to himself.

“I- Have any inquires for me?”

There’s just a nod from her, and not even a quiet peep. It was her time to act like a respectful audience, and it wasn’t like she hadn’t done this before. She knew how this went and almost by heart.

And his role was well known by all of Orience! Trey was like a teacher – but of the rambly sort. As funny as that sounded when she thought of it, she held back any laughter that would gain his attention and kept her attention on his speech. 

It was a duty that was hard, but she managed to (somehow) stay awake throughout it all. Staying still was another story entirely. Although she listened as much as she could… Not everything he spoke stuck with her, but her hands pressed together and she clapped for him. “Good job! Hm… Maybe I do…” She trails off and taps a finger against her chin in thought before jumping up with the perfect question on mind.

“Tell me, tell me! What exactly inspired these thoughts?”

“-What inspired my thoughts?” He repeated back to her, for something of a confirmation, but also to assure himself that she asked a follow-up question. 

He was surprised to say the least, but that didn’t stop him from raising his hand back to his chin to ponder this for a couple moments.

“- A number of components may have lead to my ultimate conclusion... or hypothesis, for a better term. I have recently studied the Alto crystarium, and through various observations, I have noticed that whenever we have inputted many of the Phantoma, each have a different status and power in itself. So perhaps, our Phantoma can be transferred to the Crystarium, without killing us! However; this is still in a very early stage of data collecting, so for all the numbers, I have yet to come with an ultimate conclusion.”

Tapping his foot lightly on the ground, it seemed as if his question was begging to bother himself to the point of agitation, though the archer tried his best to hide it. 

Scanning along the classroom, he had noticed that the remaining cadets who lingered had now disappeared from the room, as his promise of a lecture drove them out with ease. Sighing lightly, the blonde directed his attention back to Cinque.

“Perhaps you would care to join me in another study?”

“-Ah Cinque! Quite the person I was looking for. Perhaps you would be interested in hearing of my latest discoveries of Phantoma? I assure you this should only take maybe and hour maximum!”

“Huh?” 

A familiar voice draws her attention towards him, but it’s his words that leave her curious and with a head tilted to the side while listening. She knows she’s likely to be stuck listening to him talk if she accepts, but it’s too late as soon as she nods. “Okay I’ll listen! So, lay this theory on me.” 

Not even a drawn out ‘hm’ or any attempts to take back what she agreed to on a whim.
