We read Persepolis, and watched the adaptation, in the 10th grade, and it's stayed with me ever since. I'm eternally in awe of Marjane Satrapi's bravery and resilience, and may she rest in peace.

I don’t really understand people’s inability to really listen to what people say.

Unless I’ve missed another part of the interview where she says something more, Chloe says, “Harry and I had this really special night where we both connected on the dance floor.”

She doesn’t say she only met him once. She doesn’t say it was Glastonbury. If we have a photo of them at Glasto, that doesn’t mean it was the only time they met.

He says: “It was like a group of friends, usually we were watching her play, and she’d been on the dance floor with us…”

He hasn’t said much more about her as far as I can recall.

I think people are looking to poke holes in a narrative, but I’m not entirely sure why. My take away is that Harry said he’d met a new group of people who got him to do things he hadn’t done before. The experience with Carla that influenced Carla’s Song sounds like it happened over one evening at a party.

My overall impression is that he hung out with these people a bit and they got him to try new things and experience music, clubbing, being in group spaces, etc. in a way he hadn’t before.

I don’t think they’re his besties. Or that he spent an entire year traveling around with them, partying. But people don’t need to be an enormous part of your life in order to create a huge impression.

And if it’s just a story for a narrative, I’m not sure why people care so much. Just enjoy the album.
