কাজ করা কি এতই কষ্টের

মা পেটে ব্যাথা আজ স্কুলে যাব না, স্যার আজ সকাল থেকে মাথা ব্যাথা অফিসে আসতে পারব না। ব্যাথা পেট থেকে মাথায় উঠেছে কিন্তু কারণ সেই একটাই, কাজ করব না। কারণ কাজ অনেক কষ্টের।

পড়াশোনা থেকে অফিসের কাজ সবই কষ্টের। আর ছোটবেলা থেকে কিছু উক্তি আমাদের মধ্যে সেট করে দেয়া হয়েছে, যেমন কষ্ট করলে কেষ্ট মেলে, পরিশ্রম সৌভাগ্যের প্রসূতি আরও অনেক আছে। দোষ এই উক্তিগুলোর না। দোষ আমাদের বোঝা এবং বোঝানোর মধ্যে। আমাদের শেখানো হয়েছে, এখনো শেখানো হয় কাজ অনেক কষ্টের।

এখন আসি আসল প্রসঙ্গে, কাজ কি আসলেই এত কষ্টের। উত্তর হচ্ছে না। কাজ আনন্দের,‌ কাজ করলে আমাদের প্রশান্তি আসবে, তৃপ্তি আসবে। তাহলে আমাদের বেশিরভাগ মানুষের কাছে কাজ এত কষ্টের লাগে কেন!

এর উত্তর খুবই সহজ। আমাদের সবার নানাবিধ শখ আছে, কেউ বাগান করতে ভালোবাসি, কেউ বই পড়তে, কেউ মুভি দেখত, কেউ রান্না করতে, কেউ কথা বলতে, কেউ বা আড্ডা দিতে। ধরুন যার বাগান করতে ভালো লাগে সে নিজে একটি ফুলের নার্সারি দিল, যার বই পড়তে ভালো লাগে সে একটি লাইব্রেরী দিল, যার মুভি দেখতে ভালো লাগে সে মুভি রিভিউ দিয়ে একটি ইউটিউব চ্যানেল খুলল, যার রান্না করতে ভালো লাগে সে একটি রেস্টুরেন্টে দিল, যার আড্ডা দিতে আর কথা বলতে ভালো লাগে সে বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে ট্রেইনিং দেয়া শুরু করল। তাহলে কি তার কাছে কাজকে কষ্টের মনে হবে!! সমস্যা হচ্ছে আমরা বেশিরভাগ মানুষ নিজেদের অপছন্দের কাজকে পেশা হিসেবে নেই, আর পছন্দের কাজকে বলি শখ।

নিজের শখকে কাজে পরিণত করুন। তবে এখানে সমস্যা হচ্ছে ভয়। কারণ অনেকের কাছে সারাদিন বই পড়া অনেক কঠিন, রান্না করা কঠিন, বাগান করা কঠিন, অনর্গল কথা বলা অনেক কঠিন। তারা এসবকে কঠিন বলে কারণ এসব তাদের শখ না। তারা এসব শুধু জীবিকার জন্য করছে। তারা যদি তাদের শখের কাজটি করতে পারত, তাহলে তাদের কাজকে সহজ মনে হত। অন্যদের যা কঠিন লাগে আপনার কাছে তা সহজ লাগবে যদি ওই কাজটি আপনার শখ হয়।

এবার আমার নিজের কিছু কথা বলি। ১৯৯৫ সাল আমি প্রথম কম্পিউটার দেখি। সোনারগাঁ হোটেলে একটি ভিডিও গেমস প্রদর্শনিতে। সেই থেকে আমার শখ আমি কম্পিউটার চালানো শিখব। ২০০১ সালে আব্বু কম্পিউটার কিনে দিল (আমার আব্বু জীবনে আমার কোন শখ অপূর্ণ রাখেনি)। কিন্তু বাকি সবার মতো আমিও কম্পিউটারকে শখ বানিয়ে, রসায়নে স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রি নিয়ে টেক্সটাইল সেক্টরে কাজ শুরু করি। আমি প্রতিদিন ভাবতাম, আমার কম্পিউটার চালানো শিখেই কি লাভ হলো আর রসায়ন পরেই বা কি লাভ হলো। আমার কাজ যদিও অত কষ্টের না তাও আমার অনেক কষ্ট হয় কারণ এটা আমার শখ না। তাই ভাবলাম জীবনে কিছু রিস্ক নিব। আমি আমার শখের জীবন শুরু করব। আজকে যখন কম্পিউটার সম্পর্কিত কোন কাজ শিখি বা করি, আমার ক্লান্তি লাগে না, মাথা ব্যাথা পেট ব্যাথাও করে না। কারণ আমি আমার শখকে পেশায় পরিণত করতে যাচ্ছি।

এই আর্টিকেলটি লিখতেও আমার ক্লান্তি লাগে নি কারণ এটাও আমার একটা শখ। আর্টিকেলটি আরো বড় করতে পারতাম, কিন্তু আপনারা অনেকে হয়তো ক্লান্ত হয়ে যাবেন তাই আর বড় করলাম না। আর্টিকেল পড়া তো আর সবার শখ হতে পারে না।

আপনারাও পারেন আপনাদের শখকে পেশায় পরিণত করে, কাজকে কষ্ট থেকে আনন্দে পরিণত করতে।

How to Dominate Others

Dominate means to have the power or influence over others or be the most important.

In this society, no one likes to be dominated by anyone, no matter what designation or social status we hold. Because we care about our self-respect. But at some period of life, maximum people give up that self-respect and let others dominate.

Why? Because we see our surroundings and observe our friends, family, and colleagues being dominated for years, they are tolerating it, so should we. I heard some people say "We are born to be dominated". I pity them as the most powerful creatures on the earth, how can they say it!!

Now I will share the reason why we are being dominated and how to make resistance against it.

I called it 'Persona Differences'. Persona is an image of a person. Who will dominate and who will be dominated depends on persona difference. The higher quality persona dominates the lower quality persona. In our society, the quality of persona depends on below 5 things

Maximum people dominate others by the first four things, Office seniors dominate us by experience and designation, elders dominate us by age and experience, rich dominate us by wealth.

In the above cases, we are being dominated by the things that need time and great effort to achieve like Experience, Social Status, Wealth, and Age.

But the No. 5 which is Knowledge is the most powerful and anyone can get it with minimum effort nowadays but need tremendous WILL POWER.

Knowledge alone can develop your Persona so strong that you can skip the other 4 things and still dominate everyone.

Do not believe me!! I am the proof. Six months ago if I wrote this article no one would read this, I mean no one. Because I did not have that strong Persona, but just within six months with the knowledge I developed my Persona so strong that I don't have to force anyone to read my article.

I am not bragging. I want to encourage you to learn and enrich your knowledge through any media, it can be books, youtube, articles, or anything. Just do not waste your time on Non Valuable activities.

Time is running out, you will die soon. Realize it. No one will poke you like me, I am your only well-wisher left.

কেন আমরা নিয়মিত নামাজ আদায় করতে পারি না

আমরা মুসলিমরা সবাই জানি যে নামাজ আদায় করা ফরজ। আখেরাতে সবার আগে নামাজের হিসাব নেয়া হবে। নামাজ আদায় না করলে পরকালে কঠিন আজাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে। আর নামাজ আদায় করলে দুনিয়া এবং আখেরাতে পুরষ্কার পাওয়া যাবে। ছোটবেলা থেকে বাবা মা মসজিদের ইমাম সাহেব, বিভিন্ন ইসলামিক স্কলাররা আমাদের এসব বলে আসছেন। তবুও আমরা বেশিরভাগ মুসলিম নিয়মিত নামাজ আদায় করি না। অথবা ভুল বসত এক ওয়াক্ত নামাজ কাজা হয়ে গেলে, যে পরিমাণ আফসোস করা উচিৎ তা করি না। এর পেছনে অনেকের অনেক অজুহাত থাকে। তবে বেশিরভাগ মানুষের অজুহাত হলো কাজের কারণে নামাজ আদায় করার সময় পাইনি, আর তারপর হলো অলসতা, পরের ওয়াক্ত থেকে আদায় করব অথবা বলি ঈমান মজবুত না !!

আমি আজকে উপরের কারণগুলোর পাশাপাশি নিয়মিত নামাজ আদায় না করার আরও একটি কারণ বলব, সাথে নিয়মিত নামাজ আদায় করার এমন একটি উপকারিতা বলব যা বেশিরভাগ মানুষ আগে জানতেন না অথবা ভাবতেন না। আর আমি আশা করি এই উপকারিতাটি জানার পর আপনি এক ওয়াক্ত নামাজ ছাড়ার আগে অন্ততপক্ষে একবার ভাববেন যে নিজের এতবড় ক্ষতি করা কি ঠিক হবে।

James Clear এর একটি অসাধারণ বই “The Atomic Habit” এ একটি অধ্যায়ে তিনি মানুষ এবং অন্যান্য প্রানির একটি মৌলিক আচরণ নিয়ে লিখেছেন। তিনি লিখেছেন সকল প্রানির মধ্যে তার কাজের তাৎক্ষনিক ফল পাওয়ার একটি আকাঙ্খা থাকে। উদাহরণ হিসবে ধরুন আপনি একটি প্রাণি, হতে পারে একটি জিরাফ অথবা একটি হাতি অথবা একটি সিংহ, যাই হন না কেন আপনি এমন এক পরিবেশে বাস করেন যেখানে আপনার দিনের বেশিরভাগ কাজ তাৎক্ষনিক ফলের উপর নির্ভরশীল। যেমন কি খাব, কোথায় ঘুমাব অথবা কিভাবে শিকারির কাছ থেকে বেঁচে থাকব, এই পরিবেশকে বিজ্ঞানিরা বলেন “immidiate-return environment” কারণ এখানে তাৎক্ষনিক ফল পাওয়ার জন্য কাজ করা হয়।

এখন যদি মানুষের দিকে আসি। মানুষের মাঝেও এই প্রবণতাটি আছে, কারণ আমরাও একসময় বন্য প্রানিদের মত বাস করতাম। যেখানে সবসময় তাৎক্ষনিক ফলের উপর আমাদের জীবন নির্ভর করত। কিন্তু সময়ের আবর্তনে আমরা নতুন এক পরিবেশ তৈরি করি যাকে বিজ্ঞানিরা বলেন “delayed-return environment” যেখানে কাজের ফল পেতে কয়েক দিন থেকে শুরু করে কয়েক বছর লেগে যেতে পারে। যেমন ধরুন চাকরি করা, যেখানে মাসের শেষে বেতন পাওয়ার জন্য সারামাস কাজ করি অথবা কোথাও বিনিয়োগ করা ইত্যাদি।

এখন আবার ফেরত আসি নামাজ প্রসঙ্গে। আমাদের যখন বোঝানো হয় নামাজ পরলে আখেরাতে পুরস্কার পাবে অথবা শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা পাবে, আমাদের সেই “delayed-return environment” এ নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় যা আমাদের কাছে অনেক দূরের মনে হয় কারণ আমরা জানি না আমরা কবে মারা যাব। আমাদের ব্রেইন তখন এর মধ্যে তাৎক্ষনিক কোন সুবিধা দেখতে পায় না। তাই আমাদের বেশিরভাগ মানুষ কিছুদিন নামাজ পড়ে আগ্রহ হারিয়ে ফেলি। তবে কিছু মানুষ নিয়মিত নামাজ আদায় করে আখেরাতের কথা ভেবেই কারণ তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে বিলম্বে ফল পাওয়ার অভ্যাস গড়ে তুলতে পেরেছে অথবা তারা মৃত্যুটাকে খুব কাছে মনে করে।

এখন যারা আমরা বেশিরভাগ মানুষ তাৎক্ষনিক ফল পাওয়াতে বেশি আগ্রহি, তাদের জন্য নামাজের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি তাৎক্ষনিক সুবিধার কথা আলোচনা করব। যা আপানর নামাজের প্রতি আগ্রহ বাড়াবে। যারা নিয়মিত নামাজ পরি তারাও এই সুবধাটার কথা চিন্তা করে নামাজ আদায় করতে পারেন, এতে করে আপনার নামাজের মনোযোগ বাড়বে।

নামাজের তাৎক্ষনিক সুবিধাটি হল মনোযোগ বাড়ানো। আমরা প্রায়ই আমাদের সন্তানদের বলি পড়ায় মনোযোগ দাও, অথবা অফিসে বসরা বলে কাজে মনোযোগ বাড়ান, কিন্তু কেউ কি কখনো আমাদের শিখিয়েছে কিভাবে মনোযোগ দিতে হয় বা মনোযোগ বাড়াতে হয়। উত্তর হল না! কারণ কিভাবে মনোযোগ বাড়াতে হয় তা বেশিরভাগ মানুষ জানেই না।

আমি বিগত কয়েক মাস এই বিষয়টি নিয়ে গবেষণা করেছি এবং সবগুলো সূত্র থেকে একটি উপায় পেয়েছি যা সব থেকে কার্যকরী। উপায়টি হল কোন কাজ প্রতিদিন নিয়মিত মনোযোগ সহকারে করার অভ্যাস গড়ে তুললে ধিরে ধিরে আমাদের মনোযোগ বাড়তে থাকে। এখন কোন্‌ কাজটি আছে যা প্রতদিন মনোযোগ সহকারে করার জন্য উৎসাহ প্রদান করা হয়েছে। উত্তর হচ্ছে নামাজ। বাকি আরও কিছু কাজ আছে যেমন খাওয়া, ঘুম কিন্তু এদের কোনটি নামাজ এর মত সময় বজায় রেখে মনোযোগ সহকারে করতে বলা হই নি।

এখন নামাজে মনোযোগ ধরে রাখতে আমাদের সবার কম বেশি কষ্ট করতে হয়। কিন্তু এখানেও হতাশ হওয়ার কিছু নেই, আমাদের ব্রেইন শরীরের অন্যান্য সব পেশির ন্যায় কাজ করে, শরীরের অন্যান্য পেশি যেমন বারবার ব্যাবহার এর ফলে শক্তিশালী হয়ে উঠে, তেমনি ব্রেইন এর মনোযোগ বারবার ফিরিয়ে আনার মাধ্যমে আমরা ব্রেইন এর মনোযোগ কে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে পারি। এজন্য চাই মনোযোগ ধরে রাখার অভ্যাস করা, আর যদি মনোযোগ কিছুক্ষণের জন্য বিছিন্নও হয়ে যায় তা সাথে সাথে ফিরিয়ে আনতে হবে। এভাবে আমরা মনোযোগ বৃদ্ধি করতে পারি যা আমাদের দিনের সব কাজকে আরও নির্ভুল ও সহজভাবে করতে সাহায্য করবে। আর আল্লাহ তায়ালা পবিত্র কোরআনে উল্লেখ করেছেন 'নিশ্চয়ই মুসলমানগণ সফলতা লাভ করিবে, যারা নিজেদের নামাজের মধ্যে বিনয়ী' সুরা-মু'মিনুন, আয়াত-১,২

এখন ভাবুন আপনি যদি দিনের সব কাজ ১০০% মনোযোগ সহকারে করতে পারেন আপনার Productivity এবং Accuracy কতগুন বৃদ্ধি পাবে। তাই নামাজ আপনার উন্নতির জন্যই। ইসলাম এ যা কিছু করতে বলা হয়েছে তার সবই মানুষের উপকারিতার জন্য। তাই এখন এক ওয়াক্ত নামাজ ছেড়ে দেয়া মানে আপনার নিজেরই ক্ষতি করা। James Clear তার Atomic Habit বই এ আরও একটি কথা বলেছেন, ' Missing once is an accident, missing twice is the start of new habit'. কোন অভ্যাস নিয়মিত ধরে রাখার উপায় হচ্ছে তা একবার এর জন্যও মিস না করা। আর যদি মিস হয়েই যায় তাহলে আফসোস করা, আর দ্বিতীয়বার মিস না করা।

নামাজে মনোযোগ কিভাবে ধরে রাখতে হয় অথবা ফিরিয়ে আনতে হয় এবং আর প্রতি ওয়াক্ত নামাজেরও এক একটি বিশেষ গুরুত্ব আছে এসব জানতে পারবেন আমার পরবর্তী আর্টিকেল গুলোতে।

𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿

What an Influencer can do?

📷 An 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 is like a Gardener. Generally, a good Gardener watering and fertilizing all the plants regularly to maintain the proper growth. Sometimes he needs to take extra care of a weak plant so that it does not fall behind in growth. But he never tries to convert a Rose plant into a Sunflower plant or a Hibiscus to a Marigold plant. He just provides good service so that every plant reaches its fullness.

📷 Similarly, an Influencer influences people by his activities to find his/her goal and purpose. Sometimes he needs to give extra effort to someone who has lived in chaos for a long time. But like plants every human is different. Everyone has his/her own talent, own ambition, and passion. An influencer just influences different types of people to reach their fullness, goal and fulfill their ambition. He never tries to convert someone to somebody else because people can only give his/her 100% to his passion.

Another Example:

📷 An 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 is like electricity. Electricity energizes every electronic device by its energy but never converts any devices (For instance, it does not convert a Fan into an AC or a TV into a PC). Similarly, an Influencer influences people by his/her activities to reach their own goal and fulfill their own ambition. But he/she does not convert you to somebody else. Influencers make you the Better or Best version of yourself.

কিভাবে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট বেবস্থাকে নিজের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগানো যায় (পর্ব ৩)

স্বাগতম সবাইকে “কিভাবে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট ব্যবস্থাকে নিজের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগানো যায়” এর তৃতীয় পর্বে। দ্বিতীয় পর্বে একটি উদাহরণ দিয়েছিলাম কিভাবে বন্ধুদের সাথে আড্ডা দিতে দিতে ইংরেজি শেখা যায়। জানি না কেউ তা প্রয়োগ করেছেন কি না। করলে কমেন্ট করে জনাবেন।

আমরা সহজে কোন আইডিয়া নেই না যদি না ওই আইডিয়ার প্রত্যক্ষ প্রয়োগ দেখতে পাই। তাই আজকে আমি আমার নিজের জীবনের কিছু ঘটনা বলব, আমি কিভাবে আমার এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট ব্যবস্থাকে পরিবর্তন করেছি।

আমি আমার জীবনের অবসর সময়ের একটি বড় অংশ ভিডিও গেমস আর মুভি এবং ইংরেজি সিরিয়াল দেখে কাটিয়েছি। কারণ আমি ভাবতাম অবসর সময় হচ্ছে আমার বিনোদনের জন্য, আর বিনোদন মানেই যা করতে ভালো লাগে তাই করা। কথা ঠিক, কিন্তু যা করছি তা কেন করতে ভালো লাগছে তা কখনো খেয়াল করি নি। এর পিছনে উদ্দেশ্যটা কি তা ভাবি নি। এই ভাবনাটি আসে James Clear এর Atomic Habit বইটি পড়ার পর। বইটিতে লেখক কিভাবে একটি অভ্যাস গড়ে উঠে তা চমৎকারভাবে বর্ণনা করেছেন।

বইটির একটি অধ্যায়ে মানুষের যেকোনো অভ্যাস কিভাবে গড়ে উঠে তা বর্ণনা করতে গিয়ে তিনি বলেন কোন অভ্যাস গড়ে উঠার পিছনে কাজ করে মানুষের অন্তর্নিহিত কিছু চাহিদা: যেমন শক্তি সঞ্ছয় করে রাখা, খাদ্য ও পানিয় সংগ্রহ করা, ভালোবাসা খোজা ও বংশ বিস্তার করা, অন্যের সাথে সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলা, সামাজিক গ্রহণযোগ্যতা তৈরি করা, অনিশ্চয়তা দূর করা, স্বকীয়তা ও মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করা ইত্যাদি। এই চাহিদাগুলো আদিকাল থেকেই মানুষের মাঝে আছে, সময়ের সাথে শুধু এর মাধ্যমগুলো পরিবর্তন হয়।

যেমন:

📷 এখন অন্যের সাথে সম্পর্ক গড়ে তুলতে ফেসবুক ব্যবহার করি

📷 ভালোবাসা খোজতে টিন্ডার ব্যবহার করি

📷 অনিশ্চয়তা দূর করতে গুগলে সার্চ করি

📷 স্বকীয়তা ও মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করতে ভিডিও গেমস খেলি

ইত্যাদি

এই অধ্যায়টি পড়ার পর আমার মনে হল এভাবে তো কখনও ভাবিনি। তখন থেকে ভাবতে শুরু করি আমার এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর পন্থা গুলো আমার কেন ভালো লাগে। কিছুদিন ভাবার পর আমি খোঁজে পেলাম উদ্দেশ্য গুলো।

📷 আমি মুভি আর সিরিয়াল দেখি কারণ আমার সুন্দর গল্প ভালো লাগে।

📷 ভিডিও গেমস খেলি কারণ আমি স্বকীয়তা ও মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করতে চাই, সাথে আমার চ্যালেন্জ নিতে ভালো লাগে।

📷 এগুলো জানার পর মনে হল আমি যদি এই চাহিদাগুলো বিকল্প কিন্তু উন্নয়নমূলক কোন এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট দ্বারা পরিবর্তন করতে পারি, তাহলে আমি বিনোদনের মাধ্যমেই আমার বর্তমান অবস্থার উন্নতি করতে পারব।

📷 বর্তমানে আমি আমার গল্পের চাহিদা পূরণ করি বই পড়ে। আর স্বকীয়তা ও মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি এবং চ্যালেন্জ অতিক্রম করার চাহিদা পূরণ করি ব্লগ লিখে আর সোসাল মিডিয়াতে পোস্ট করে। হয়ত ভবিষ্যতে এর থেকেও উন্নত কোন বিনোদন মাধ্যম পেয়ে যাব।

📷 কিন্তু আমার বিনোদনের আনন্দ বিন্দুমাত্রও কমেনি বরং বেড়েছে কারণ আমি এখন প্রতিদিন একটি তৃপ্তি নিয়ে ঘুমোতে যাই যে, আজকে আমি আমার দিনের বেশিরভাগ সময় অপচয় না করে নিজের, সমাজের এবং ইসলামের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগিয়েছি।

গতকাল লিখেছিলাম কেন আমরা এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর জন্য গতানুগতিক পন্থা বেছে নেই। আজকে থাকছে বাকি অংশ যেখানে কিভাবে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট বেবস্থাকে নিজের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগানো যায় তা নিয়ে লিখেছি। এর জন্য এমন একটা পন্থা বের করতে হবে যাতে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এবং আত্মউন্নয়ন দুইটাই হয়।

সবার আগে নিজের জীবনের একটা লক্ষ্য ঠিক করুন। এটা বললে অনেকেরি ঘাম বের হয়ে যায়, আমারও হতো। লক্ষ্য মানে এই না যে আপনাকে ইলন মাস্ক অথবা জেফ বেজস হতে হবে না। আপনি ভাবেন আপনার পূর্বাচলে একটা ফ্ল্যাট হবে অথবা একটা গাড়ি হবে নিজের অথবা দেশের বাইরে কোথাও সেটেল হবেন। বড় লক্ষ্য ধরতে পারলে ভালো না হলে ছোট সম্ভাব্য লক্ষ্যই ধরুন এবং একটি লিস্ট তৈরি করুন সেই লক্ষ্যের জন্য কি কি করা উচিৎ।

এবার একটা লিস্ট করেন যে আপনি বর্তমানে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর জন্য কি কি করছেন, এসবের মধ্যে কোনগুলো আপনার সেই লক্ষ্য পুরনের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত আর কোনগুলো না। এমনও হতে পারে লিস্ট এর একটিও আপনার লক্ষ্যের সাথে যায় না। ঘাবড়ানোর কিছু নেই। এখন কমপক্ষে দুই তা লিস্ট তো আছে। এবার ধিরে ধিরে দুইটা লিস্টের মধ্যে সামঞ্জস্যতা নিয়ে আসার চেষ্টা করুন।

এবার আসি কিভাবে সামঞ্জস্যতা আনবেন। লক্ষ্য নিয়ে বেশি কাজ করা দরকার নেই কারণ লক্ষ্য পরিবর্তন করা একটু কঠিন কারণ সেখানে চয়েছ কম থাকে। লক্ষ্য ঠিক করে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট লিস্ট টা দেখুন, সেখানে পরিবর্তন আনার চেষ্টা করুন।

আমি তো আর আপনার এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর উপায়গুল জানি না। তাই একটি উদাহরণ দেই। যেমন ধরুন আপনার আড্ডা দিতে ভালো লাগে আবার আপনি ইংরেজিতে ভালো করতে চান আপনি আপানর বন্ধুদের মধ্য থেকে এমন কয়েকজন কে বের করুন যাদের একি লক্ষ্য আছে। এখন সবাই মিলে ইংরেজিতে কথা বলার মাধ্যমে আড্ডা দিন। প্রথমে বিরক্ত লাগবে, লজ্জাও লাগতে পারে। কিন্তু সবার লক্ষ্য যদি এক থাকে তাহলে কিছুদিন পর দেখবেন আপনারা সহজেই বাংলায় যেভাবে আড্ডা দিতেন ইংরেজিতেও সেভাবেই আড্ডা দিতে পারছেন। আড্ডার মধ্যে গালি দিতে মনে চাইলে ইংরেজিতে কিছু গালি শিখেন (যদিও গালি কোন ভাষাতেই দেয়ার আমি পক্ষপাতী না)। শেখা তো হল। এরপর থেকে দেখবেন আপনার বাকি এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট গুলোও এই লক্ষের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত হয়ে যাবে। আপনি ইংরেজি ইউটিউব ভিডিও দেখা শুরু করবেন অথবা নিউজ দেখা শুরু করবেন যাতে আড্ডাতে আপনি ইংরেজিতে একটা নিউজ দিতে পারেন। যাতে সবাই আপনার প্রশংসা করে।

মানুষ প্রশংসা পেতে ভালো বাসে। এই বিষয়টিকে কাজে লাগান। দেখেন আমি প্রশংসা পাওয়ার জন্য কত্ত বড় একটা আর্টিকেল লিখে ফেললাম। এটা তো একটা উদাহরণ দিলাম আপনি নিজের মত করে ২ টা লিস্ট নিয়ে কাজ করলে নিজের জন্য কোনটা উপকারি তা বের করে ফেলতে পারবেন। আর সাহায্য লাগলে আমি তো আছি। যেকোনো সময় আমাকে নক করুন আমি যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করব সাহায্য করতে।

কিভাবে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট বেবস্থাকে নিজের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগানো যায় (পর্ব ১)

আমার শেষ যে আর্টিকেলটা ছিল “কাজ করা কি এতই কষ্টের” সেখানে বলেছিলাম শখকে কাজে পরিণত করতে পারলে কাজ করতে কষ্ট হয় না। কিন্তু যারা অনেকদিন ধরে একটা পেশায় আছেন তাদের সবার পক্ষে এখন হয়ত শখকে কাজে পরিণত করা সম্ভব না অথবা রিস্কি মনে হয়। তবে যারা এখনো ক্যারিয়ার শুরু করেন নাই তাদের জন্য অবশ্যই নিজে করতে যা ভালো লাগে এমন কিছু দিয়ে ক্যারিয়ার শুরু করাই ভালো। তাহলে যারা রিস্ক নিতে চান না তাদের কি হবে। ভয় নেই আপনাদের জন্য বিকল্প পদ্ধতি আছে। আজকের আর্টিকেল সেই বিকল্প পদ্ধতি নিয়েই।

📷 আমাদের কাছে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট মানে কি!! অনেকের কাছে মুভি অথবা সিরিয়াল দেখা, অনেকের কাছে পাবজি গেমস খেলা, অনেকের কাছে আড্ডা দেয়া বা ঘুরে বেড়ানো একেক জনের কাছে একেটা। তার মানে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর জন্য কি করছেন তা জরুরি না, জরুরি হল ক্লান্তি দূর হচ্ছে নাকি অথবা আপনি রিলাক্স অনুভব করছেন নাকি তা।

📷 সাধারনত আমরা সারাদিন জীবিকার জন্য যা করি তা আমাদের এন্টারটেইন করতে পারে না যদি না আমরা আমদের শখের কাজকে পেশায় পরিণত করেতে পারি। যেমন যার কাজ সারাদিন মুভি এডিটিং করা পেশা কিন্তু শখ না তার অবসর টাইমে আর মুভি দেখতে ভালো লাগবে না। আমরা চাই আমাদের এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর জন্য প্রফেশন থেকে আলাদা কিছু করতে। কিন্তু তার মানে এই না যে আমাদের মুভি দেখতে হবে, গেমস খেলতে হবে অথবা বার এ গিয়ে মদ, সিগারেট খেতে হবে, ড্রাগস নিতে হবে।

📷 কিন্তু আমরা এই কাজগুল কেন করি। এর প্রধান কারণ অভ্যাস এবং অনুকরণ আর আমাদের সমাজ বেবস্থা। আমরা ছোটবেলা থেকে দেখে আসছি সবাই এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর জন্য এসবই করে, আবার মানুষের একটা প্রবণতা হচ্ছে যে জিনিষগুলো নিষেধ করা হবে সেগুলো করার একটা আগ্রহ থাকবে। তাই সারাদিন কাজের মাঝে আমরা যা করতে পারি না তা এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এর নাম দিয়ে করি।

📷 কিভাবে এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট বেবস্থাকে নিজের উন্নয়নে কাজে লাগানো যায় তা থাকবে পরবর্তী আর্টিকেলে। আর্টিকেল পুরটাই লিখা শেষ, একসাথে না দেয়ার কারণ হচ্ছে আর্টিকেল অনেক বড় হয়ে যায় অনেকে এতো বড় আর্টিকেল পরতে পছন্দ করে না। তাই বাকি অংশ থাকবে আগামিকাল।

Delegating works

In the last few months, I was working on many projects, and I was struggling in one area and that is TIME. We know we have fixed 24 hours per day. No matter how much disciplined we are or how much improvement we do in science we cannot add extra time in a day.

📷 So I was thinking alternatively and I found a way to do it. REALLY It's possible to add time in your 24 hours a day and not only a few minutes or hours you can add an infinity amount of time. I am not bluffing, it's true. Read the next paragraph very carefully if possible multiple times to understand my concept.

📷 It's an old classic IDEA, but unfortunately most of us did not notice it. The idea is Delegating works. Suppose you want to design a website, now make a list of things you need to do,

📷 Web page design

📷 If you want to do all the things alone it will take a long time, you have to learn all the things first then need to apply, even though it can get messy because you cannot be an expert in every area.

📷 So my Idea is if I take only one work from that list and Dalegate the rest 3 works to 3 different persons, then their daily time will be added to my daily time. Eventually, if I work 16 hours daily and the rest 3 of them also work 16 hours daily then as a whole team we all work 16x4=64 hours daily. So our working hours passed beyond 24 hours, and if you can add more people you can add more time.

📷 Example, we all know Richard Branson founder of Virgin Group, has approximately 71,000 employees work for him if we calculate as per the above method he has 71000x8=568,000 working hours (23,666 days) in a single day.

📷 So, delegating or sharing works is much beneficial than working alone on any project if we want to progress faster.

A True Shocking Theory

After serving as a pilot in World War 2. Roger Fisher attended Harvard Law School and spent 34 years specializing in negotiation and conflict management. It was in the 1970s and 1980s as the threat of nuclear war escalated, that Fisher developed perhaps his most interesting idea.

At the time, Fisher was focused on designing strategies that could prevent nuclear war and he had noticed a troubling fact. Any sitting president would have access to launch codes that could kill millions of people but would never actually see anyone die because he would always be thousands of miles away.

"My suggestion was quite simple," he wrote in 1981. "Put that nuclear code number in a little capsule, and then implant that capsule right next to the heart of a volunteer. The volunteer would carry with him a big, heavy butcher knife as he accompanied the President. If ever the President wanted to fire a nuclear weapon, the only way he could do so would be for him first, with his own hands, to kill one human being. The president says 'George I am sorry but tens of millions must die. He has to look at someone and realize what death is -- what an innocent is. Blood On The White House carpet. it's the reality brought home.

"When I suggested this to friends in the Pentagon they said, 'My God, that's terrible. Having to kill someone would distort the president's judgment. He might never push the button."

When I first read that theory, I had goosebumps. What a theory, though it is metaphorical it gives us an idea, how can we think differently to make the world a better place.

The RISE of the new GENRE of #CELEBRITIES

I have spent almost 3 decades of my life and saw various kinds of #celebrities. I am organizing them in 3 categories and will explain which kind is most powerful. And also which category actually helps us in our life.

Entertainers: In the 80s and 90s we used to understand the term celebrity as a movie star or TV star. They entertain us through digital and print media and still they are the most famous ones.

Sportsperson: Later in the era of 2000 a new kind of celebrity was added to the list "the SPORTSPERSON". Before that, we knew them like #Maradona, #Pele but we didn't idolize them as celebrities. But now we follow them like Entertainment Celebrities. We want to know their personal life, their daily routines, and habits like we are curious about Entertainers.

Entrepreneurs: In the last couple of years we saw the rise of the new genre of celebrities. And they are called the #ENTREPRENEUR. Amongst all the celebrities they are the most powerful ones. Though they existed before, we know very little about them. For instance, most of us used to know only the names #Billgates and #Stevejobs in the context of Entrepreneur. But now we follow many of them and we take inspiration from them.

In this article, I will now discuss the new CELEBRITIES and that is ENTREPRENEURS and why they are so powerful and why we should not only follow them but take their advice and lifestyle as our guidance.

We are following the No 1 and No 2 celebrities for decades but how many of us take their lifestyle or success story as inspiration and become like them, very few. How many of us become actors, actresses, or models by the inspiration of the entertainers? Or how many of us become Sportsperson by following the sports celebrities, again very few.

Why? Because to become a successful entertainment or sports celebrity you have to face and win the very high competition. Moreover, most of them do no willing to share their day-to-day journey or steps with us to create more like them. They kept that a secret.

On the other hand, the new celebrities who are the ENTREPRENEURS, most of them start their story with the intention of helping others. They invent ideas idea to #help people. Even after that, they teach that process to others so that they can replicate them and help more people. Their motive is to make the world better and help the people who are struggling in life not only financially but physically mentally to overcome problems. Because they know how to solve the problems of our daily routine life.

And now the most important part. Whom should we follow? From the beginning, people have the tendency to follow celebrities who are out of their reach. Like in the 90s we followed Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan instead of our local hero like Salman Shah or Riaz, etc. After 2000 we even went further. We started following Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie instead of Bollywood stars. Similarly, we used to follow Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, etc cricketers until Sakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal our locals become international #Sportsperson. The moral of the story is we target and follow people now who are internationally famous.

In terms of which ENTREPRENEURS should we follow, we can go for Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Richard Branson Zack Ma, etc. But their culture is far different from ours. So we need someone from our culture, who finds his way to stand out internationally. There is one guy in our country who fulfilled both of the criteria like Sakib al Hasan in cricket. He is our local INTERNATIONAL celebrity HEMI HOSSAIN. Who still does not know him do some keyword searching in Google. Search Hemi Hossain or Fire Your Boss or Employee to Digital Entrepreneur.

আমরা কেন ধনী হতে পারি না? পর্ব 3 (কুড়েমি)

এর আগে দুইটি আর্টিকেল লিখেছিলাম, সেগুলো আমার প্রথম দিকের আর্টিকেল। আর্টিকেল দুটি ছিল রবার্ট কিয়োসাকির রিচ ডেড পুর ডেড বই এর উপর ভিত্তি করে। আর্টিকেলটির টাইটেল ছিল 'কেন আমরা ধনী হতে পারি না'। আজকের তৃতীয় এবং শেষ পর্বটি লিখব। এ পর্বের নাম কুড়েমি।

কুড়েমি: ব্যস্ত লোকেরা প্রায়ই বেশি কুড়ে হয়। আমরা সবাই এমন ব্যবসায়ীদের গল্প শুনেছে যে অর্থ রোজগার করার জন্য প্রচণ্ড পরিশ্রম করে কাজ করে। তার স্ত্রী আর সন্তানদের জীবনধারণের ভালো ব্যবস্থা করার জন্য সে পরিশ্রম করে কাজ করে। দীর্ঘ সময় সে অফিসে কাটায় আর সপ্তাহান্তে অফিসের কাজ সে বাড়িতেও নিয়ে আসা। একদিন সে বাড়ি ফিরে দেখে বাড়ি খালি। তার স্ত্রী বাচ্চাদের নিয়ে চলে গেছে। সে জানত যে তার স্ত্রীর সাথে তার সমস্যা চলছে কিন্তু সম্পর্কটা আরো দৃঢ় করার চেষ্টা করার বদলে সে কাজে ব্যস্ত থাকতো। এরপর সে আতঙ্কিত হয়ে উঠল তার কাজ করার ক্ষমতার অবনতি হতে থাকলো আর তার চাকরি চলে গেল।

আবার এমন লোক আছে যারা অত্যধিক ব্যস্ত থাকায় স্বাস্থ্যের দিকে নজর দিতে পারে না। কারণ একই । তারা ব্যস্ত, এবং তারা ব্যস্তই থাকে যাতে ব্যস্ততার অজুহাতে তারা যে সত্যের মুখোমুখি হতে চায় না সেটা এড়িয়ে যেতে পারে। আপনি যদি তাদের তা মনে করে দেন তারা প্রায়শই রাগ এবং বিরক্তি প্রকাশ করে।

তারা যদি কাজ নিয়ে এবং সন্তানদের নিয়ে ব্যস্ত নাও হয় তখন তারা ব্যস্ত থাকে টিভি দেখতে, মাছ ধরতে, ক্রিকেট খেলতে অথবা বাজার করতে। যদিও অন্তরের গভীরে তারা জানে যে তারা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু এড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে। এটাই অতিপরিচিত কুড়েমির লক্ষণ, আর কুড়েমিটা তাদের ব্যস্ততা থেকেই আসে।

তাহলে এই কুড়েমির প্রতিকার কি? প্রতিকার হচ্ছে একটু লোভ। আমাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই বড় হয়েছি এই ধারণা নিয়ে যায় লোভ বা তীব্র আকাঙ্ক্ষা খারাপ। তবু আমাদের সকলের ভেতরের সুন্দর জিনিস নতুন জিনিস উত্তেজক জিনিস পাবার আকুল আকাঙ্ক্ষা থাকে। একটু লোভ ছাড়া আরো ভালো পাবার আকাঙ্ক্ষার ছাড়া প্রগতি হয়না। আমাদের পৃথিবী এগিয়ে যায় কারণ আমরা আরো ভাল প্রত্যাশা করি। আমরা স্কুলে যাই আর খেটে পড়াশোনা করি কারন আমরা আরো ভালো কিছু চাই। যখনই দেখবেন আপনি এমন কিছু এড়িয়ে যাচ্ছেন যা আপনি জানেন আপনার করা উচিত, তাহলে আপনি নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন 'এটাতে আমার জন্য কি আছে?' একটু লোভী হন। এটাই আলস্যের সবথেকে ভালো প্রতিকার।

যেকোনো মাত্রা অতিরিক্ত জিনিসের মত অত্যাধিক বেশি লোভ ভালো নয়। তবে মনে রাখবেন ওয়ালস্ট্রিট সিনেমাতে মাইকেল ডগলাস কি বলেছিলেন, 'অপরাধবোধ লোভ এর থেকেও খারাপ। কারণ অপরাধবোধ আত্মাকে তার শরীর থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেয়।' ইলেন রুজভেল্টের বক্তব্য আমার সবচেয়ে প্রিয় 'তুমি হৃদয় থেকে যা ঠিক মনে হয় তাই করো কারণ তোমার সমালোচনা হবেই। তুমি করলেও হবে না করলেও হবে।'

𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲:

Today’s article is for over-stressed people and managers who never attend any training on leadership. There are two types of management systems and managers 1. Micro management 2. Macro management

𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 is a management style whereby a manager closely observes and/or controls and/or reminds the work of their subordinates or employees.

Micromanagers worry about the small stuff. A micromanager doesn't simply set a deadline and expects the employee to meet it. They detail every step that has to be taken to meet the deadline. A micromanager may constantly monitor the time that employees spend on breaks or on particular tasks or may sit and watch them carry out their work.

Advantages: With a new employee or one who is struggling, micromanagement may be necessary.

Disadvantages: In many other cases, it stresses out employees and makes them hate their jobs. It can also leave employees so dependent on the boss's direction that they can't function on their own.

Managers who go the micro route often have other problems:

They hate to delegate because they don't trust anyone else to do the job. If they do delegate, they give insanely detailed directions for the work. They waste employee time on constant reports and meetings. They hate employees making independent decisions because they want to have the final say.

𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is a more independent style of organizational management whereby managers step back and give employees the freedom to do their job how they think it is best done, so long as the desired result is reached.

Advantages: The macromanagement approach worries less about the details and more about the end game. It isn't necessarily hands-off, but it starts from assuming that you can trust the team to deliver.

The key to developing macromanagement skills lies in how you approach a project.

Focus on the end goal. Give your team room to find a solution and reach the finish line. Empower employees to achieve the goal. When the team runs into problems, step in and look for solutions. Spell out your expectations at the start so the team understands what you want. Let the team know what resources they have available and what the constraints are.

Disadvantages: Even if you have awesome employees, they still need direction, and some macro managers don't provide enough. Put a half-dozen talented employees on a project with no strong leadership from you, and they may not bond into a talented team. Instead, you get disorganization and chaos. So, a macro manager without the ability to set a goal is like a sailor in a sea without a compass.

𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲:

Whether your nature is to micromanage or macro manage, you'll be a better manager if you can adapt and use both styles when appropriate. Micro and macro management can both be effective.

If deadlines are tight or your works are complex, your team may need micromanaging to get through. New workers or employees who don't know your company's environment may need close supervision until they find their footing. You cannot set the goal for your team unless you clearly see what the goal is. If you're in the dark about where you're going, your team will be too. If unexpected obstacles pop up, you'll have to decide how closely to manage your team past the problem.

So, to be a good manager you need both Micro and Macro management skills. However, the timing and selection of the employee to implement those skills define how good you are as a leader or manager.
