i hope with each new attempt i get closer to capturing whatever's going on with him in a bottle. also love that my party is constantly shouting that he's dying during every fight and when i turn around to see what could possibly be happening he's not usually injured but he's managed to aggro like 4 enemies that have surrounded him despite not doing much damage???

listen i know very little about the ins and outs of dai battle mechanics so my running theory is that something about him just bothers people so bad that they feel like they just HAVE to kill him right away. they can't resist. is his reflective head irritating the eyes or is his serene but condescending attitude out on the field making them see red so much that they don't even care about stopping the inquisition as a whole anymore they just need this elf guy to die

my oc that i've slowly been working into the events of stolen throne to get through the book without banging on the walls wailing

they're the clan loghain and maric encounter at the beginning, just with added lore and the fun twist that loghain actually knows them

i named the clan elgara before datv's main baddies were announced which is so funny that i pivoted to explain that the reason their reputation is especially elusive and they only appear at arlathvens to dole out cryptic advice is because its founders are ancient elves who conspire with the asha'bellanar. bald and bold

the way people in the games describe his face and general vibe elates me... "droopy ears says what" from sera in dai, "he seemed so kind, and wise, and sad" from lavellan in datv two beautiful gems of dialogue i swear rook also calls him something similar somewhere but i'll have to roll the tapes

i like to imagine that he naturally looks a bit younger than he typically appears because he sleeps and cries so much that his eyes are always puffy with eyebags to the point where people think that's just his default
