So... did anyone end up checking out #Life last month? https://arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2017/03/it-may-sound-like-alien-and-follow-arrival-but-life-is-a-popcorn-movie/
#Life turned out to be so-so, but the cast kept things interesting ? https://arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2017/03/how-to-get-a-vulcan-salute-from-jake-gyllenhaal-and-ryan-reynolds/
Extraterrestrial life doesn't look happy to see us in this exclusive from Columbia Pictures' sci-fi film #Life http://arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2017/02/life-is-a-modern-spin-on-the-haunted-space-house-genre/

Still celebrating #RogueOne #Oscars nominations by playing with ridiculous IRL Lightsabers all afternoon http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/12/hands-on-with-a-434-replica-lightsaber-may-the-dork-be-with-you/

Future #SXSW-ers, the fine folks at @flitchcoffee provide a delicious, unintentional reminder that Yoda welcomed others to Dagobah. #StarWars #IntergalaticPolicy #ATX
Possible #SXSW artifact? Either way, street art in #ATX always seems on point.
Holiday travel can lead to some delightfully nerdy discoveries—case in point, Oklahoma City's new @21CHotels. The building started as a @Ford Motor Company plant in 1916, and 100 years later it reopened as a hotel/museum this past summer. The Model T showroom transformed into a hip show kitchen restaurant, but many of the factory's original details (giant columns, some carpeting styles, lots of concrete) remain in tact. The place feels *massive*—135 rooms with at least 20-foot ceilings and the bottom floor has a 14,000 sq. ft. art gallery/event space. Rumor has it the hotel quickly grew into a favorite of visiting NBA teams; not even a 7-footer could feel claustrophobic. The collection on display during our tour was titled Labor and Materials, an exploration into the evolution of industry throughout the 21st century. What the hell does that have to do with penguins? Daniel Rozin's "Penguins Mirror" combines the mundane (stuffed animals) with the modern (all powered by @Microsoft's Kinect) and ties it together with the philosophical (he set the penguins to dance to "an algorithm designed according to the principles of Darwinian evolution," according to the piece's introduction). Our colleagues at @CNTraveler have info more from their visit this summer, but we can vouch for enjoying a Sazerac at the bar and then checking out the art during any trips through #OKC: http://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2016-06-08/oklahoma-city-coolest-and-artsiest-hotel-used-to-be-a-ford-assembly-plant
Should we resurface this every holiday season, Y/N? Could it become a #DieHard-like tradition for the Ars community? http://arstechnica.com/staff/2011/05/tentacular-tentacular/
Year-end list research can be such hard work http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/11/titanfall-2s-single-player-campaign-is-short-but-sweet/
Now that's certainly gallery-worthy art, #ATX.
So, third-party Touch Bar-ish offerings coming in the next year? http://arstechnica.com/video/2016/11/the-2016-13-and-15-inch-touch-bar-macbook-pros-reviewed/
Oh, 1000 Mbps upload/download... you're so close yet so far for a journalism budget ($70/month advertised in east #ATX, very tempting Google #Fiber).
On days when journalism gets tough, sometimes we dream of alternatives (apparently, like selling air conditioning in #ATX)
Hopefully the feds keep this in mind over the next few years #NYC #Science #climatechange
