The old snake temple is a known breeding place for the creatures called "Aranir" (male), respectively "Aravyre" (female). As such, they defended that place furiously and with combined strength.

Out of another world this demon came. No one knows how it crossed the barrier between the two worlds and what purpose. It is believed it is possessed by pure evil, as he killed everyone at sight. The demon blades "Scaraceus" were thus forged in an attempt to kill this evil spirit. Which was indeed a success, but the blades themselves were a terrible curse..

Being out of pure magic, its arms take on new forms. The purple smoke it produces can cover the whole body and hide it behind a thick purple cloud. Though it seem to have eyes on its head, these eye-like features seem to have another purpose, since the creature actually is blind.

Long forgotten these blades were, forged to kill a powerful and ancient demon. When the deed was done, these blades were hidden away, for they carry a terrible curse themselves. The bearer of them has to kill someone for each day, for the blades hunger for blood. Failing to do so will turn the blades against the owner, literally sucking the life out of them. In daylight, the blades look rather harmless, like a normal black blade, but during the night it will cast a ghostly red fire, harmless for its wielder, but burning for everyone and everything it touches. They also enhances the abilities of their current owner, making them almost invincible in every sword fight. The blade has a life on its own, whispering to its owner trying them to do stuff they usually wouldn't do. The curse of the demon blades cannot be broken. Once touched, the blades will be this persons curse - until the owner dies.

Asriel, the wise warrior, once was a famous hunter for monsters. He always was there when people were attacked by some furious beast. Unlike most of these adventurers, he survived this profession, most likely due to his unmatched speed in battle and his talent to spot his enemies weaknesses quite fast. When growing older, he noticed that his agility increasingly slowed down. Instead of pressing on, he settled down and took on the a new, much safer profession. To train and supervise new potential adventurers. He also owns a special helmet, made out of the skull from a certain creature...

This creature lives in the desert and their main diet is rotten carcasses for which they search for the whole day. Other animals usually take a hide from it anyway, since if it will get the possibility to eat something fresh, it will not turn down this chance. They have an exceptional great sense of smell, enabling them to find food over great distances.

It attacks both with the sharp beak, as well as the clawed arms. The clawed arms have huge bone plates, which are used to defend themselves.

These are concepts for the upcoming game "Re:Legend". For their kickstarter project, I backed a higher pledge tier which enables me to come up with a Magnus concept which then will be implemented in the game. This creature mainly hunts at night using the glowing tentacles on its head to attract preys. While the adults also attack using their front claws, their main weapon are the multiple mandibles on its head. Both of them contain lethal poison, making it a very dangerous creature to fight.

When enraged or nervous, it tends to clapper with its mandibles, generating a clicking sound. The glowing parts can be controlled by will, it is quite possible to walk around in the dark and suddenly facing a enraged, pulsating glowing creature, clicking furiously with its mandibles.

They both can be found in jungles and in deserts alike, due to their fantastic ability to save water in the long thorns on its back and giving heat off their ear-like fins on the head.

Although they mostly live a solitary life, the young ones stay quite long with the adult one, being protected and cared for until reaching a certain age.

Here you can see the full life cycle of the Thunder Bug: It is born as a larvae (top left), hatching from an egg, and even though it seems quite vulnerable with such a soft, squishy body it's actually not an easy prey. Like the adult Thunder Bug, the larvae is also able to produce electricity. The horns on the head, most outstanding characteristic for the adult Thunder Bug, haven't grown yet. Instead of these horns, the arm claws are actually able to unleash the electricity at any time. The abdomen is used as a battery for storing the energy needed for this. After the first big transformation, the Thunder Bug enters the second stage of its life (bottom left). Still, the remarkable horns haven't grown yet and it still uses its claws for electrical discharges. After the final big transformation the final stage of the Thunder Bugs life is reached. The claws, which were able to generate electrical discharges in previous stages are now quite degenerated - yet are still able to produce electricity.

These creatures show a similar behavior to lampreys and live their life mainly as parasite, attaching themselves to much bigger creatures in the sea. The bottom side of them is armed with small claws to help them to keep hold onto their prey. Several gas filled bladders decorate their body (orange in color). If they feel threatened, they are able to empty all of those instantly, gaining an insane speed boost for a short while.

These creatures are hunters to be feared, using electricity to paralyze and kill their prey. Little is known about how they actually produce these electric discharges, but it is believed that the red blister-like features are involved. Some believe that they actually don't produce the energy themselves, but rather store it. Indication that this theory might be true is the fact that these creatures gather at elevated locations during thunderstorms, potentially to collect the energy of the lightnings.
