I love my autumn and winter simmer pots. This is a basic recipe.

Use can also use a low heat pot (crock)- check for low water ( I set an alert to check it every couple of hours).

* My favorite add ins: cardamom pods, star anise, cranberries

It will make your house smell calm and serene as the warm spices permeate the air in your house.

Grimoire Entry 2 - How to easily create sigils!

What are sigils?

Sigils are symbolic representations of our desires, holding our intent and often used in various spells. They can range from simple shapes to complex markings. Creating a sigil involves focusing on a specific intention, then crafting a unique design that encapsulates this intention. Once created, the sigil is charged with energy through meditation, visualization, or ritual, making it a powerful tool for manifesting our goals. Whether you’re seeking protection, prosperity, or personal growth, incorporating sigils into your practice can enhance the potency of your magical workings.

How do I make sigils?

There are two common methods for making sigils:

Consonant Letters

An easy way to create a sigil is by using consonants. This method provides a unique sigil for any intent without requiring extensive creativity or knowledge of shape language. To create a sigil using the consonant letters method, start by writing down your intent. This could be anything, such as prosperity, balance, divination, clairvoyance, or wealth. Next, remove the vowels from your intent. For example, 'wealth' becomes 'WLTH.' Then, design a symbol that incorporates all the remaining letters. If there are duplicate consonants, drop the duplicates. For example, 'prosperity' becomes 'PRSPTY' and then 'PRSTY.' By following this process, you can craft a sigil that is both personal and powerful.

Shape Language

Shape language is a more complex method of creating symbols. It involves imbuing different shapes with intent and meaning, using their correspondences to design a symbol that aligns with your specific intention. For example, hearts are commonly associated with love and romance and are often used in witchcraft to signify these emotions. By understanding the symbolic meanings of various shapes; such as circles for unity, triangles for change, or squares for stability; you can create a sigil that resonates deeply with your intent. This method allows for a more personalized and nuanced approach to sigil creation, enhancing the power and effectiveness of your magical practice. Experimenting with shape language can lead to a richer, more intuitive connection to your sigils, making them a potent tool in your spiritual journey.

I’ve found that when I struggle to acheive any goal, it’s usually because my expectations and my reality do not match. I either under or overestimate how things will go and my own abilities which leads to needless frustration. So I created this spread to help with that!

1. Your dream: While most of us probably already have a goal in mind, this card can either help illuminate aspects of your goal you might be overlooking OR it might present you with a dream from deep within that your soul longs to realize :)

2. Your expectations: We can often subconsciously expect things about our dreams. This card can identify if you are self-sabotaging by being defeatist, or overconfident, etc. 

3. Your reality: Do you need to work harder to achieve this dream than you originally expected? Rely on others? Trust your abilities? Let this card help you bridge the gap between your expectations and the truth. 

4, 5, and 6. Action: Three cards laid on top of one another as a three step action plan to help acheive your dream. The first card is horizontal, the second at an angle and the third upright (symbolizing laying down to standing tall and achieving your goal) Let these cards guide you along your journey and help you foresee how to deal with any hiccups along the way!

one fun thing about being a teacher in march 2023 is that chess is a literal epidemic among teens. we are starting to have meetings about how we can STOP teenagers from playing too much chess which is like if we were trying to figure out how to stop them from reading for fun. When i was in high school five years ago chess was nerd shit only but now it is transcending every social and language barrier and is absolutely rampant. kids aren’t on their phone texting in class anymore it’s ONLY chess.com. kids are playing chess on their phones while playing chess in real life. this is still better than tiktok because at least the kids are developing an attention span from this

the worst part of this is that they’re on chess dot com instead of getting an education. but the BEST part of this is watching high schoolers develop the weirdest goddamn strategies I’ve ever seen. One of my students invented something he calls the “evil advisor gambit” where he gets a third person to give out constant terrible advice to both teams hoping that his opponent falls for it straight-up or that his opponent thinks HE fell for it and will act accordingly thus worsening their own strategy. he has won every game he has been able to pull off a coordinated evil advisor gambit in. this is chess innovation never before seen in its 700 years on earth
