Day 9 Sketch/Study
Day 8: Sketch/Study
Today, I studied the ear and was surprised to learn how much the antihelix sticks out. I also wanted to practice drawing flesh over the skull to better understand how the structures interact. It was a challenging but insightful study!
Day 7: Sketch/Study
I wanted to understand how the eyes fit into the skull, so I focused on studying their placement. I was surprised to learn that the eyes don’t stick out as much as I thought—the brow bone actually extends further. It’s fascinating to see how structure affects form!
Day 6: Sketch/Study
I didn’t realize there was such a big difference between male and female skulls! It’s been a long time since I last drew a skull, so this study was both eye-opening and refreshing.
Day 5: Study/Sketch
Yesterday, I struggled with drawing my model’s arm and wanted to understand where I went wrong. To improve, I’m focusing on studying the various muscles of the arm today. By breaking down the structure and function of each muscle, I hope to enhance my accuracy and confidence in drawing arms more naturally.
Day 3: Sketch Study
Today, I focused on proportions—especially tackling glutes and legs for the first time! I’m considering doing a deeper study on muscle anatomy to make my models feel more dynamic and lifelike. What do you guys think? Would that be interesting to see?
