Guess what I learned at this weekend’s plein air painting session (save post to read tips later): • Opt for darker color clothing and shoes; grass stains are not flattering 🤦‍♀️ • Invest in a sturdy pochade box. Holding a palette outdoors isn’t ideal. Love my @newwaveart UGo. • Check the weather before leaving especially in New England and always photograph your subjects because they change ⛈ • Less is more. Carry primary colors + white. Paint mixing is easier than opening and closing tubes. 🎨 • Get used to an audience.
