We recognize the Temple of Dendur today as a monochromatic sandstone structure, but its walls, like those of most ancient Egyptian temples, were originally painted bright colors.
Too cool.
There goes 4Culture, challenging the staus quo yet again.
In terms of things we photograph the most, the moon probably ranks pretty high, especially when it floats in the cosmos as a full-bodied orb.
Just opened… and closing soon! Art Cont’d is going to visit Pivot Art + Culture for their zombie-themed happy hour. Then we’ll head to 13 Coins to continue the conversation with post-visit drinks! Email me an RSVP, so I can give them a body count (get it?!). Feel free to bring friends!
See you there! Ella and the Art Cont’d team
Recommended at SAM: Really… anything and everything associated with Kehinde Wiley. Find info here.
Save the Date: Art Cont’d 1 year birthday on March 11th!

Cool art that didn't end up at Gagosian.
Forget Valentine's Day, it's all about those beignets 👍
Alright, alright, alright!
But wait there's more: "Sources close to Pivot now say for sure that the contemporary art center that Paul Allen promised to Seattle last year has now officially laid off its staff and Allen's company Vulcan's real estate arm is looking at potential high-end retail or restaurant uses for the space."
"It was surrealistic! Absurd! Kafkaesque!"
This is the German artist's first major exhibition in the US, and the Henry has created an impressive retrospective.
Another great exhibit from our friends over at 4Culture! Go check it out before the end of the month.
It's the James W. Ray Distinguished Artist Award for $50,000, and it went to writer David Shields.
Forget the rich and powerful — they’re predictable. We’re more interested in the powerless. That’s where the real stories are, where the future is decided, where creativity starts…
