After almost two full months of no personal art exposure, it took much motivation and inspiration out of me to create another work of art. And so I decided to start small with a sketch rather than a painting.
This was inspired by an image I also found on tumblr. Glad it turned out pretty okay.

SFA22 plate #3
(Dominant color with complementary tones)
oil on canvas
A very challenging plate particularly because of the details. The studs on the bag were difficult because of the intricacy of its reflective surface. Each stud had its own clear little details. I used a dominant color of Phtalo blue with complementary orange tones for the shades.
I also tried to achieve a macro effect in the composition, by making certain details, like the ones on the left to the center, clearer and more defined than the details on the rightmost side, where it becomes blurrier. I have yet to fully complete this painting, though. Planning on revising a few things and making some details clearer. As for now, here it is!
A sketch I did a little early last month, but never got to post it. This is, once again, Ms. Cara Delevingne! :)
More recent works will be put up soon! The school year has just started but we're already SWAMPED--and I mean it--like crazy!
