Zara #53 world’s most valuable brands founded in 1975 has over 2,100 retail stores worldwide has 98,000 average monthly visits last year. With that being said what can Zara do and get away with. How much power does Zara really have? July 2016 has been a rough year for Spanish retailer Zara after being accused of stealing designs from LA-based independent artist Tuesday Bassen. I would like to correct myself Zara did not have a rough year the independent artists Zara stole from had a rough year Zara deserves whats coming to them no one should pity them. Zara has denied all accusations. If Zara the company isn’t shaking in their boots yet, they should be. Based on the evidence against Zara it is quite evident that they've been caught red-handed and this isn’t the first time they’ve been caught. 'I'm disheartened that they essentially replied with "it doesn't matter, because we're gigantic and you're little, so next to no one knows we even copied this"' Ms. Bassen said. Tuesday Bassen has forked up $ 2,000 on lawyers to fight for something that is rightfully theirs. As a consumer and aspiring textile artist i applaud Ms.Bassen for having the guts to speak up for not just her own intellectual property but for all the independent artist that have been stolen from by Zara and didn’t have the finances to fight and all the future indie artist that Zara was going to steal from. Tuesday Bassen is 1 of many artists 20 as of right now that has had their intellectual property stolen from. “Being an indie is hard enough... I'm so tired of seeing the big guys squashing and stealing from the little ones. #boycottzara,” wrote one user. With the help of you the consumer we can make a change. “What can i do to help i feel so helpless. The artist themselves couldn’t get Zara to understand their wrong doing what can i do i have no part in this case they didn’t steal from me.” except you do you the reader the consumer have such a big part and can make such a big impact on the case itself by boycotting Zara. When i say boycott i mean of course buy from the artists themselves go to their store/online store and buy the original artwork from the artists themselves but to make a bigger impact and let Zara know we will not stand with their wrong doing boycott the entire store yes i know they have beautiful clothes but even if you don’t buy the stolen artwork you are still supporting the brand. Do not put money into the pocket of people who steal. If people keep stealing from artists, artists won’t want to put their artwork out there they’re going to be too scared of having it stolen. Save the bees 

If bees didn’t exist or no longer existed our lives would be completely different our diets would have the biggest impact of all. I know you’re thinking “how do bees pollinating affect me? Flower are pretty but i think i could live without them” now this is where you for example i want you think of a past job that you know you were good at a hobby you are exceptional at and know you are important to the team but you are not valued and looked down upon. Does that not seem like just the worst position to be in making you feel like you’re less then what you know you are. Well welcome to the world of bees. Believe it or not bees are one of the hardest working animals on the planet correction bees are the hardest working animals on this planet not just for our own benefit and our greediness but for the benefit of every living creature on land. So next time you see a bee you should say thank you i promise they are not trying to sting you they just accidentally confused you for a beautiful flower. Now to help you understand how much bees play a part in our lives. The bees pollination affects every living thing in one way or another maybe not directly but it all starts with bees one way or another. Without pollination the world would be not aesthetically pleasing goodbye color, flowers, animals, plants. Without pollination people and animals would be deprived of food. I know you’re thinking “animals? like bees and butterflies” No im talking about even the carnivorous animals because their prey lives off the vegetation thats there because of bees pollination. Onion, celery, strawberries, mustard, broccoli, peppers, watermelon, coconut, and yes even coffee and so much more any veggie you can think of is there because of the help of bees. Without bees or the demise of bees goodbye Starbucks, goodbye local markets, goodbye meat, goodbye animals, goodbye humans. Now okay we can live without strawberries and broccoli but our animals can’t live out with their vegetation. Cattle and other livestock depend on vegetation and many meat eaters depend on. Without bee’s endless work tough environments and people spraying poisons on them we wouldn’t have anything. When dinner comes around i want you to look at your plate at least 1/3 is because of bees. Just to show you the dollar worth bees have towards us and its 19 billion dollars’ worth of crop production in the United States alone is there because of bees and bees alone. Next time you see a little bee just say hello and thank you we need them.

Summer June 2016/Issue #1

June 2016, We are delighted to announce we have released issue #1 of Arté magazine hosted inside art, design, photography, music, diy, and movies. Passionate volunteers and now Arté magazine members have put their skill to the test to get the best content possible for our readers. We knew this project would cater to not just one particular audience but all individuals. In fact, that was precisely the point: to create an artistic outlet for the growing communities of people interested in topics such as art all types of art from painting, textile art, to films and music and getting into the minds of artists themselves understanding the person behind such beautiful work. 

We are a small online magazine right now with the help of passionate bloggers willing to help for months on end to get this issue #1 released on time. Every bloggers skills were used rigorously to get the best content out there and on to the pages of Arté. Collaborations of writers, photographers, bloggers, and artists all came together to bring to you Arté.
