"I think I am going to faint." The Ginger Witcher garbled. He had lost quite a lot of blood and he felt his head spin.
"You could have just turned over on your other ear. Cathedral is large enough not to hear me doing my thing over here." Lambert said.
He took out a small booklet and began to paw over the alchemical formulas in it. They were mainly for potions and bombs, stuff he needed in his job. He wanted to try out a few in the lab and hoped The Alchemist would lend him some ingredient to try out a few new concoctions.
He was silent all the while, taking out a small pencil to make notes with. It was probably the most quiet Lambert had been in his life.
"Got plans?" He then asked Artemis. "After this, places to be?"
"I've got good hearing, unfortunately for me." Artemis sighed as she took her tea in hand and started sipping it, watching Lambert get out his little book and smirking to herself.
"Aw, look at the good little student, studying his potion making." She teased, shrugging at his question while watching him scribble down notes.
"Nowhere to be, nowhere to go. I just follow the road and hope I don't end up dead, usually find a few bad men to lure in and kill to pass the time, then screw the woman they were trying to assault. Barmaids take to me like a fish to fucking water, if only good men were so easy to find." She sighed, looking down into her mug and breathing in the aroma of leaves.
Lambert scoffed. "Good enough to hear what's going on in this huge cavernous building, my arse." He grumbled.
"I have a few things I've been wanting to test. The Alchemist is usually willing to lend me his lab." He shrugged. He was good at alchemy, but took no specific joy in making things explode. Potions and poisons were much more his hobby. If it could be called that.
"All good men are already wed, me child. And good men don't fuck women who ain't their wives." Lambert said. It was a thing he recalled his mother saying to one of his older cousins. "Except Eskel, of course." Sure, he argued with his older brother a lot, but he was convinced of his goodness.
"You say that as if Witchers don't have the exact same hearing ability. Maybe those stories really are a bunch of bullshit then." Artemis remarked as she got up and snooped around the kitchen, sniffing out something else to eat.
When she came upon some salted crackers, she sat down again, munching a few between gulps of her tea and burping after a moment, clearly not caring about traditional etiquette for young women as she just continued to eat without a word.
After a moment of listening to Lambert go on, she spoke up. "What about this training ground you lot have? Some Witcher initiation shit at Kaer Morhen, isn't it? It'd be fun to try my hand at that, if you'd be so inclined as to take me there?" She suggested, leaning back a bit as she sipped more of her tea a bit more refined-like.
