ART HAPPENING!!  here are the rules:  1) Set a time limit.  2) No talking. 3) Don't discuss any more rules beforehand.

Naming:  -if one person hasn't done this before, they get to name the end product -if multiple people haven't done this before, then they work together to name the end product -if all people have, then they have to ask a bystander to name it

Our end product was named "Controlled Chaos" by petrichorbooks we decided 90 minutes for ours So far we are calling this a "happening" but we're trying to think of a better name does anyone have any ideas?

drawing this for another group's project- i'm calling him ivan.  medium: chalk pastel.  found this babe in a national geographic magazine.  for their project they will be hanging up multiple 2d works and then inviting people to tear them up.  their space in the gallery is called "destruction"

"PRIVATE PROPERTY: Woman I"

After researching the abortion laws in North Carolina (http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/sfaa/north_carolina.html) I designed this screenprint in reaction.  It is to be administered on the stomach.  The subject has to lie on the ground and move their shirts and shorts to fit the screen. Afterwards, some admittedly felt uncomfortable, and some empowered.  Many wanted to keep the ink on their skin.  

Something I wrote after the process: “I also think it was very interesting that we had to hide in the back [of the classroom].  School is a strange environment, where women’s bodies are meant to be hidden as to not distract male students/teachers, and I think that’s a parallel with other administrative areas where women are expected to modify themselves to the standard men desire.  So that was interesting.”
