The experience
They have faith in their religion which, in the case of Catholics, involved God and the saints.
They also trust themselves. They have their capabilities, talents, and drive towards a good life.
It is through believing that they made it through all the hardships.
It is through believing that they are able to create such wonderful things.
And it is through believing that they will keep on moving forward.
What the past has created reminds them to believe today.
And what they create now will remind the future, including us who they have shared their art with, to believe in ourselves, in what we have and who we truly are.
We were able to witness, create and experience art in Pampanga, and it is this art which enables the Kapampangans to thrive in the modern times while keeping its traditions. They continue on believing in their art, and I now believe in it too.
A little faith, trust and pixie volcano dust can go a long way.
