it’s still August 3rd as I post this so here is my very very last minute entry to the DTIYS, inspired by the latest episode! I loved seeing Fenn’s inner turmoil so much that I added it to my drawing. I can’t wait until he reads the letter and he (and all of us) get to see this lovely plot element pay off!

What voice claim ideas do y’all have for the characters of Faroff? :3c

Ok so I don't have specific people I would choose to be the voice actors (I'm going to be honest, I know jack shit about celebrities) but I do have quite a few headcanons about their voices.

First off the bat is one I've mentioned before on here, which is that Tobi has a lower voice than Fenn. That's just entirely vibes based, I really can't imagine Fenn (the guy who's constantly running around screaming and who canonically has a "soldier voice" on top of his regular voice) with a deep voice. Plus in my head Tobi definitely has a deeper (not VERY deep, but again, deeper than Fenn's) sort of silky voice. I don't think the difference would be that much, but enough to notice.

(I went to grab the link for that post after writing out this paragraph, just finished rereading it -- it does actually confirm the "silky voice" thing for Tobi! But it also says that Fenn's voice is a little lower than Tobi's.... I'm going to break the canon for my version of them anyway, I'm holding onto lower voice Tobi and higher voice Fenn)

Second one is the whole thing with Tobi's accent being (according to Lennon) an Irish accent mixed with an American accent. By "American accent" I assume she meant more of a generic American accent, but I like to think the American accent it's mixed with is very southern.

Third one, there are so many different British accents but for Fenn I really do think it's THE most stereotypical British accent ever. As posh as you can think. What every American thinks a British person sounds like. Etc. (Worth noting that this isn't a Sonan thing in my head, it's literally JUST Fenn. Everyone else has more realistic British accents)

Fourth one (which is sort of branching off the last one) which is actually more of one @filletedfennysnake (Bia) came up with... Greenley 100% has a Cockney accent. I am not taking other opinions at this time.

Hard agree on the higher voice Fenn/lower voice Tobi, their voices are a tenor and a baritone respectively

Greenley absolutely has a cockney accent that’s perfect LMAO

also, I have been SCOURING the internet looking for voices for Fenn and Tobi that even kind of match the voices I have for them in my head, and while I haven’t found one for Fenn, I did find one for Tobi that’s kind of close and that’s Dónal Finn, who originated Orpheus in the West End production of Hadestown and plays Moriarty in Young Sherlock!

I made a full family tree including the Fellow extended family based on the tapestry in Tangle Tower and Moon’s map in The Mermaid Mask!

I used the colors from the tapestry to make it easier to read, if anyone wants to add on to this or add pictures/sprites please feel free!

These two panels were so incredibly powerful to me, you can feel the shift from desperation to resignation in this scene and it made me cry so I had to draw it. The amount of emotion you can feel just in each individual panel never fails to amaze me

while this is my last DTIYS entry, it is not my last redraw by any means! I started doing these redraws before the challenge began and i don’t plan on stopping after it ends :)
