🎨 Bali, Indonesia | After years of not touching a paintbrush, here I am in a new chapter of my life. With unexpected opportunities and lots of support, I’ve been feverishly painting abstract visions that came to me in a weeks’ worth of work at top of the year. And now, I’ll be featuring a 7-piece collection in London’s renowned Shoreditch Art District at The Bricklane Gallery on April 27-May 10, 2021.
So how did this happen for someone who hadn’t painted in years? Well, after leaving NYC and finally being in a place where I can sit still... that was when I finally had a moment to dive into this fully for once in my life. So with so much heart, starting on New Year’s Day, I painted every day for two weeks like it was my job. Because I loved it. Because I was moved. Then I transitioned my old corporate work Instagram business account, which was a landing page for my old career as a marketing consultant... and I blasted my photos there. Not following any social media strategy; it was intended to be for my personal record.
Somehow, a gallery assistant found me. And in a matter of weeks, I planned a collection, researched how to package and ship my work to the gallery in London from Bali, and I did it.
In a few months, you can see my work in a well-known gallery’s art exhibit (wow!), and I’m so proud of it. I worked hard in corporate for years, and now I can follow my dreams.
