he wasn't sure why he was — actually the appeal of free wine and the chance to talk to some stars and former stars that he wouldn't have came across in any other situation had brought him here. mostly the wine. cristian lingered by snacks, taking the time to recharge and observe the room. where to go, who to avoid. he glanced over at the person next to him, moving a bit to make room for them. "damn. i mean, sorry. do you think they'll mind if i just take a whole tray from here?"

Dawson had made his rounds, checking with some of the few people he knew. Mostly, he had met a lot of new faces and made some valuable contacts for the future. He had decided to make his way over to the snacks, taking a break from the schmoozing. "A man after my own heart." He had cleared a tray by himself already. "Now are you cheap or just that hungry?"

"Don't I know it," he laughed. What would he be without his talent? Frankie didn't even want to think about the possibility of it. An art gallery... Okay, that made even more sense now for why he'd seen him on Jamie's story. At his comment about the rumours, Frankie raised both eyebrows. Well, fuck. "You don't pull any punches, do you know? Right, that makes sense. She showed us the painting you did of her on set. Pretty high praise, y'know?"

Dawson smiled as he looked at Frankie. He hadn't intended to say it like that, but it was the thing on nearly everyone's minds. Frankie and Sienna, Frankie and Scottie. It had consumed most of social media. "Sorry, man. Painfully up front. It hasn't worked out in my favor more than once." It still wasn't going to stop him. "Yeah, she is a good muse. Even better friend."

"Oh, don't I know it! Waste not, want not, Wren. That's the way of the world, especially around here. We need to hold onto our hotness in moments of great despair so we can go to work the next day. Boo to orange." Andie shook her head, trying to return to the planet after his absolutely bombshell of a reveal! WTF, right? "Oh my god, what? That's it, I am passing away. I'm dead, deceased. DOA. Tell my mother... 'I told you so'. I literally cannot believe this is happening. I want you to tell me everything but I also don't think I'll survive... Is she as, like, literally amazing as she seems?"

"Especially when you do not have a giant pile of money to hold on to. Gotta use your assets while you have them." Dawson smiled as he watched Andie's face. He had waited to tell her this for exactly this kind of reaction. "God, this reaction is exactly what I was hoping for. I knew it would blow your mind. I think she is kind of perfect, honestly, like a star standing on Earth. Not only is she perfect, but she is also one of the best people to hang out with."

"Oh, now that I can see for you. Do you have a piece in mind that you want to see in here most of all? Well, I can be fairly persuasive when I want to be," she joked. The gears were already turning in her head, though. What she could do with this space for an evening, the art she could bring in from her private collection. The wine she could have brought in and the entertainment. A classy yet ultimately debaucherous evening with her new and old friends. A true house warming. "Then I think that's exactly what I will have to do. Oh, don't they just? Life imitating art, I know," she laughed. "Sienna is a true sweetheart, I must say. There is nothing with being a diva-in-training but she truly has a heart of gold. We'll have to lock in a few more projects together then, won't we? Frankie and Sienna are magnetic. And with Scottie... The three of them are truly electric."

"Not yet, I am working on something that I think is worthy of this spot. But it still needs a lot of work." Dawson had a few pieces that he was sure would fit into a collection here, but there was something specific he had in mind. Something he hoped could get a whole collection centered around it. "Art often does, sometimes a more honest version of life depending on the artist." He smiled at her. "I think that's a great idea. I mean, if social media is anything to go by, then everyone would enjoy seeing more of you two. I agree, plus I mean all three are very distracting on screen. I think their billboard is causing some accidents in the streets." He joked, it had been a talking point for sure.

"Oh, me too. There's nothing like learning the corners of a new place until it truly does feel like home. Paris and Rome are perfect for inspiration, I can imagine that did you wonders. Well, I'm sure the world is yours for the taking. Ah, there's always a special place in my heart for amateur theater," she added with a grin and a hand over heart. After all, so many of them had their start in school productions. "That is where diamonds hide."

Jamie stared at him a moment, his flirting not lost on her before a little laugh fell from her lips. Her publicist was truly going to kill her. "I'm sure you do," she mused, following his instructions for the painting. "You're the expert. I'll just stay here and look otherworldly."

"They were great, lots of my art from that time is my best. At least in my opinion. I don't know about that, but I would happily take it. For now, just trying to make a name for myself here." Dawson agreed with Jamie. The best things he had ever seen were on stage. "I definitely agree with you, my friends from school are some of the best actors I have known."

Dawson wasn't afraid to go after what he wanted. Including the superstar standing in front of him. He walked around fixing the lighting, wanting to make it perfect. "Well, you are the expert in that, clearly." He took a moment to look her up and down. He had to thank Angie Hunter personally for this. "Okay, I think we are good."

"As you should! What's life without a little flattery, hm?" she teased. "Oh, wonderful. Andrea is your friend who works for Julliard, isn't she? I would love to meet her, all your stories with her have been so fun and just the perfect amount of outrageous. I'm so glad you think so. Do remember to get out there, work the room, let as many people as you can find out how interesting you are." Jamie grinned at his compliments, it was always very sweet to hear. She let out a delighted laugh when he mentioned the wine, following his gaze to the free table.

"That I can do," she agreed, looping her arm with his and stopping by the bar to grab a bottle of red. Once they were sat and the bottle uncorked, she dramatically presented - "Pago de Carraovejas Ribera del Duero, hardly a mouthful, I know. Robost, full-bodied and Spanish as you may have guessed."

"I don't know, and I hope my ego never finds out." Dawson grinned at Jamie. "You would love her, she is kind of the best. I think you two would have a great time. I will work the room, but right now I have the attention of the host and one of the favorite people. So not leaving you alone yet."

He held onto Jamie, walking over to the table. He watched her, delighted to have her present another bottle of wine. "Great pronunciation." He commented with a grin. "What kind of notes should I expect?"

She loved a good compliment. If she were standing, Michelle definitely would've twirled for him to show off her dress. "Good to know. It's actually my first time getting to wear it." Honestly she had forgotten she had owned it until recent. "I had no reason to say no. I enjoyed our first date and I can't turn down the chance to look at a hot man in nice lighting." She teased, before leaning back. "I haven't been here before though so I'm excited to try out their food."

Dawson smiled at Michelle. She was one of the most beautiful and interesting people he had ever met. He wanted to keep taking her out for as long as she would let him. "I am glad, sorry I was worried. I was a little nervous on the first date." He had not been sure he would get a second date. His nerves had definitely gotten the better of him. "Look as much as you want." He grinned at her. "I saw them on my Insta. If the food is as good as it looks, then we are going to have a good night."

She couldn't remember the last time she had actually went on a date, other than the first one with Dawson but besides that it had been an actual minute. It was a nice break from mindless flirting. Plus how could she be mad at the sight of new eye candy, especially as said eye candy sat across from her looking particularly handsome tonight. "You look handsome. I really like your outfit tonight." She shamelessly took a slow glance over his figure, before breaking into an easy smile. "Thank you for inviting me out again, Dawson."

Dawson liked dating. All the flirting was fun, of course. But this was a much better experience. Getting to know someone on a deeper level and finding out if there was a real spark there. "Thank you, but that's supposed to my line tonight. I love the dress." Dawson smiled at her, happy to let Michelle take a look at her for as long as she wanted. "My pleasure, I am glad you wanted to come out again."

"both is preferred." she confirmed "awfully confident, aren't we? i'm sure i could. depends on if anyone feels interesting enough"

"Can't think of a reason I shouldn't be." Dawson had confidence in his abilities to make anything he wanted a reality. "Everyone too boring tonight? I hear there is another party in the Hamptons tonight."

she rolled her eyes at the comment from dawson. the guy hadn't exactly done anything wrong but iris being iris stuck at a jamie park party meant that she was in no mood for nonsense.

"the collection and the party aren't good. both insist upon themselves"

Dawson let out a chuckle at her comment. Clearly, this wasn't a good night for her. He felt a little bad, tonight had been nothing but fun. Meeting more of Jamie's friends and some actual connections. He had done well so far.

"So do we have an art critic or a fun hater?"

"Thank you," Spencer smiled and he tried hard not to let it falter. He'd get back on the field, he would (right?), in no time. "You make a great point there. I should hang out in between paintings and sculptures more often. Much easier than sunglasses and wigs. That, uh, was a joke." He let out a dry laugh at Dawson's question. "It's more like, ah, commercials and photoshoots. I just got done letting out my 'inner lion'... Yeah, feel free to kill me once that one goes live."

Dawson smiled, imagining Spencer King trying to hide anywhere was far-fetched. A gallery would be a novel idea. "I figured, not a bad one. I would say you are probably a little less likely to be found." He laughed, shaking his head. Between all the things Jamie had told him and this conversation, he definitely wasn't interested in being a celebrity. "Yeah, that sounds rough. Please tell me that you didn't have to roar."

"You're at the beginning of your big city dreams, then? I may throw a few things you way, if you like. It's never a bad time to start building your blackmail archives," he grinned back. Nick chuckled at Dawson's entirely correct conclusion. "That you are. One thing about me, Dawson, I'm a giver. And I look impeccable on a canvas like a modern day Adonis."

"I just finished the move a few weeks back. I had been in and out before that. Never too early to start, especially if you have anything on my fellow artists." Dawson nodded his head at that. He wasn't surprised by that, he had gathered that from their last conversation. "I get that vibe from you, and I am glad. Been painted before? Consider me jealous."

"We must have met before, you already know me far too well," Nick winked. He had always enjoyed Valentine's Day and in a room like this, it was impossible not to indulge in a little debauchery. Nick was sure that Dawson had an interesting story behind him. "Ah, don't you make your own luck? I'm sure it's only going to get wilder and wilder from here on out for you, Dawson." Nick chuckled at his reaction to Angie Hunter (perfectly valid, of course). "Just let her do the talking, you'll be in safe hands. I saw her in 'Chicago' last month, she was a spectacular Roxie Hart." Their glasses clinked and Nick's devious grin grew. "Give me your phone."

"Must have been in a past life." Dawson looked at Nick, a grin teasing his lips. He often found himself in these kind of things, he always made easy connectons. "I get by on my luck and charm when my talent can't help me. I hope so, Nick." He nodded his head, processing just how insane tonight was. This would be one he would remember for a long time. "So now I need to get tickets to Chicago is what you are telling me." He handed over his phone unlocked without a second thought. "Yes, sir." He teased with a smirk.

events like these were good networking as much as they were just a fun night that had been planned. it wasn't lost on olivia that a lot of the who's who of the acting world were currently in the same room. "life moves so quick, this industry is relentless, taking five minutes keeps your sanity." she answered, blowing out her latest round of smoke "right...yeah, i forget that people still know me when i don't know them"

Dawson treated pretty much everything these days as a networking chance. He was an artist, but he also knew he wanted to be a successful one. He knew it wasn't just about talent, knowing the right people helped. "I can only imagine it must be a lot sometimes." He laughed a bit to himself. "Yeah, sorry that must always be weird."

the gallery event was in full swing and it was fine. if it were anyone else hosting, iris would be less resistant to it's assault on the senses but this was jamie park's event. no matter, iris was here for her boss, rebecca ravenwood (and her family by extension).

if she was asked, she wasn't sure what anyone saw in the whole thing. the event was tacky in her eyes. one lavish stomach churning detail after another, iris walked through the event to check in with the ravenwoods, her face making no effort to hide how unimpressed she was by the spectacle.

Dawson had a good time tonight, he enjoyed any chance to hang out with Jamie. They had a good time, but she had other guests to attend to, and he was sure he would see her again before she left. He had made some small talk, now he was wandering around the party.

Dawson smirked as he heard Iris. He wasn't sure what her issue was, it seemed this wasn't her scene. He almost felt bad for her being stuck here because her boss was there.

"This isn't my favorite collection by Peter either."
