"well, in moderation, but still-," she added, letting out a nervous laugh. she wished she could take the entire night off - have a break from her whole life - but if 15 minutes was all she had, spending them with olivia burke sounded good to her. "how's the, uh, wine and cheese going for you?"

"some might say otherwise" she noted, enjoying the view of lili and her smile. she hadn't seen her since well... "the wine is flowing and i'm not one to complain. plus it helps that jamie has impeccable taste in wines." another incredible skill the woman has "i don't eat cheese, but there's an art critic in there that i'm convinced is part mouse with all the cheese i've given him"

"you're too good for this world, olivia burke." emmeline almost turned and ran, she really did. what a dream it would have been to finally get away from her responsibilities however draining they were. "damn, i just can't... leave you behind. you wanna go outside together and definitely not smoke?"

"tell those of the future of the sacrifice i made here today for you" she gasped dramatically, humour laced in her voice. running away was something she did consider. "uggh, it's like you read my mind. the outside bit...not the definitely not smoking bit" she winked "let go get that fresh air we're so desperate for"

"It is pretty cool, not many people can say that they have a strong group of friends that all made it big. I can only imagine the stories that they have together." Sienna hoped that one day that would be her and the rest of the cast. She already felt so close to both Frankie and Scottie. "I guess I have to never expect anything to take off and I will have nothing but success. They want to save it for when they can put it on social media without people freaking out. I will get it one day, the makeup team loves me."

"i know they were quite rambunctious during their earlier years. they caused some stirs and dramas. they're all so cool, no wonder everyone adores them" it must've been nice to have that support system around "that's the kind of move i pull" she smiled "that make up team will likely know their plans for you if the show decided to turn you. they'll have the look perfected"

"enchanting and humble, you'll have to leave some adjectives for the rest of us," robbie grinned as she looked up at him. he'd calculated roughly how long he could stay before he absolutely had to be in the hamptons so he'd have to be on top form here. "it's my pleasure. oh, i try. robbie baizen - thee, if you like, but i'll settle for whatever you'd like to call me."

"normally when someone works this hard they want something from me. so what is it?" she quickly gathered that robbie baizen was a man who knew how to talk to people. a mouth with the gift of the gab that could confidently sell shit to a farmer if he was required to. "i think we'll settle on calling you robbie for now."

"She really is the best. I am happy I got to meet her. I was so nervous when she was cast." Sienna had met other celebrities before, but people like Jamie and the rest of the Brat Pack were legendary. Same with Olivia, she had watched pretty much everything the other had done. "The questions never seem to stop now. I didn't expect the show to ever get this big. The fans would love it, I just want to get to try out the makeup everyone else gets."

"she is, and i love that the brat pack are all still together after all these years. it's cute that they all grew up together." olivia could only hope that her friendships in the industry could last up to even a fraction of the brat pack. "the projects you don't think people will care about are the ones that usually take off into something huge. they haven't even let you try the make up? that sucks."

Dawson smiled at Olivia, he got that. He was an artist too, networking and meeting people were part of the gig, but he found himself overwhelmed from time to time. He needed time to recover and get some of his thoughts straight. "Yeah, it's nice to take a beat, relax, and center yourself." He took a long drag from his cigarette. "I know, it's nice to actually meet you."

events like these were good networking as much as they were just a fun night that had been planned. it wasn't lost on olivia that a lot of the who's who of the acting world were currently in the same room. "life moves so quick, this industry is relentless, taking five minutes keeps your sanity." she answered, blowing out her latest round of smoke "right...yeah, i forget that people still know me when i don't know them"

robbie had been on his way out from the vanderbilt gallery when he stopped in his tracks. did he have time? for a beautiful women? he pocketed his cell phone and made his detour. "is that thee olivia burke? you'll have to forgive me, i'm a big fan and you are... even more enchanting person."

she hadn't noticed him until he had made his way over to her space "i don't know about thee olivia burke, but i'm an olivia burke." she offered with a polite smile "there's nothing to be forgiven for, thanks for being a fan" she said looking up at him. he was a handsome fan. "you're quite the charmer, aren't you?"

"then tell them 'no comment'. no, i'm not--- sorry, i just don't want to keep putting her through all this bullshit. no, i'm... yeah, that's fine. you can book it. thank you-," he added quickly, hearing the call click off. frankie let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair in frustration. it was then he realised that he wasn't strictly alone out here. "olivia? i- you didn't hear any of that, right?"

"well shit, i don't know frankie, would i have heard a whole phone call you've made within earshot of me smoking? let's give that a think over" she chuckled, shaking her head "you good?"

lili was happy enough with how tonight was going. there weren't any major threats (ex-fiancés of guests who almost weren't invited didn't count - god, when had she become someone who knew all this gossip?) and everyone was keeping it above board. well, as much as this crowd could. she was fine to take her 15 minute break - jamie insisted on longer, on drinks!, but lili had politely declined. when she headed outside, she almost stopped in her tracks. she knew olivia burke was here tonight - she'd seen the guest list - but it still made her stomach flip. "bad habit?"

inside the gallery everyone was more than pleasant, olivia having her brief conversations before she had slipped out moments ago. taking a drag of her cigarette and tucking her lighter away, she turned at the sound of a familiar voice. one that she hadn't heard for some time "one could say so. then again, i have multiple bad habits"

Dawson had needed a moment to compose himself, being in a room full of celebrities was fun but a lot to handle. "Definitely, especially when you get swarmed like you do." He grinned at her as he took a drag from his cigarette. "Dawson Wren, by the way."

she had forgotten what it felt like to be in a room full of people that felt intimidating. she had time to adapt, she was used to these actors all being her mentors or peers for years now. this guy? it still looked relatively new to him "maybe, sometimes it's just to have a minute of quiet when you're in rooms as loud as inside." fleeting moments of solitude were rare these days "nice to meet you, i'm olivia burke"

"Yeah, Jamie knows how to throw a great party." Sienna understood her. Even if she had her own questions about Olivia's work, she wouldn't think to ask her at this party. "Yeah, that's been my night so far too. If it is about the romance stuff, it's people asking me when I am going to become a vampire. Like if I controlled that, it would have happened last year."

"she's a blast. i love getting to catch up with her" jamie had been a mentor to her like many other younger stars in the industry. she oculd understand the frustration of career questions, especially if your character hadn't been going the way you expected it to "i'm sure the friday night bites questions are out in full force this evening given most of you are here including your new guest star. you never know, this could be the vampire year for you. fingers crossed that it gets to happen"

Sienna had been trying to get into the party. It was nice to be around her co-stars, not at work or at a media event. It had not stopped questions about the season, or even about the rumors. She needed a break from all of it. She had made her way out to the alley to get a moment of peace.

"Oh, hi. Sorry, did you need a break too?"

"enjoying the event?" looking up from her spot with her cigarette, olivia nodded to answer sienna's question "it can get exhausting having the same conversations a thousand times over. there's only so many questions about the endless knights that i can answer without my head wanting to explode"

Dawson was used to being around Jamie and a few of her friends after the last few months. But to be in a room with most of the Brat Pack, the cast of Friday Nights Bites, as well as all the usual Upper East Siders, was a bit much even for him. He had made his way outside, taking a long drag from his cigarette. He hadn't even noticed Olivia until he saw her lighting up a cigarette too.

"Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt."

it was nice to have a moment to herself. olivia looked over her shoulder to see the guy standing there with a cigarette of his own when she heard him speak up. "it's alright, we all need to grab a moment when we can, don't we?" she shrugged, taking a drag of her freshly lit cigarette.

Jamie entered the main gallery with a dazzling smile, a fabulous dress and a strong feeling that tonight would be perfect. She felt almost settled in New York now, embracing the old and new friends she had met and bringing together like-minded artisans with ease. Of course, if one was only here for the wine... she understood that too.

"Oh, you must look over the Cristina Molinari and Petra Papadopoulos pieces, I was blown away by them. Such beautiful expression and suggestion in their work-," she waved in the direction of the exhibit before turning to the next person- "Hello! Don't you look wonderful. How are you?" @tfrstarters

jamie park was one of her favourite humans. she adored the woman both personally and professionally. "jamie, hi!" she grinned "i'm good thank you, you look stunning. how are you? once again you've outdone us all with all of this" she gestured to the bustling event going on around them. "thank you for the invite, it was kind of you"

"I'm sure your invitation was just misplaced. I mean, you can't even begin to imagine the hours of calligraphy that went into them, Lucille was very particular. Yeah, yeah, I'll tell her-... Mhm. Okay, have a great evening," Emmeline grinned so widely she must have looked a little unhinged. When they finally left, she rolled her eyes and turned to find the nearest drinks tray.

poor emmeline having to field all these questions about the wedding, it must be driving her mad. the only bonus was the fact questions were being directed towards emmeline, rather than questions being fired to her.

the vanderbilt gallery was a thing of beauty and jamie park had somehow managed to make it grander and more beautiful than before. olivia had spent some time chatting with guests and catching up with her fellow actors before she decided it was enough and she snuck out back to steal a moment of peace to herself - mainly to have a smoke, but still, a moment of peace.
