i loved you. but when my mental illnesses acted up, you left.
im not mad at you for leaving. im mad because you left me for the only other person ive ever loved.
i love you and you hate me. i loved her and she hates me.

I just tried to write a poem n almost died. Never trying to get in touch w my emotions again !!!
me [angrily yet softly, through gritted teeth, while crying]: i love to write
you split open your veins in hopes that the demons inside will get out, but baby all youre doing is letting more in.
i do horrible things to people i care about so that when im gone they wont hurt as much
my problem is that i kiss razors and bottles of liquor when i want to be kissing you
i want to love you but im poison and anyone who gets too close is slowly destroyed and for that reason i'll stay far away
i could be such a good writer if i would just *clenches fist* write
please handle me carefully the scars on my back are still healing
i dont think you can ever truly recover from an addiction. you can stop your behavior, but the addiction is still there. whether you notice it or not, its morphed into something else. a part of your personality is always going to be addicted to something.
when i was in the hospital after my first suicide attempt i was roomed with a girl who was on her ninth attempt. she asked if it was my first try and then she told me "yeah. you'll be here again. it doesn't matter how hard you try, you can never truly recover from depression. it follows you around your entire life and you just gotta deal with it. but someday, it's gonna get to be too much, and you'll be right back where you started. you'll end up here or in the morgue. there's no escaping it." that was years ago and their words still keep me up at night
The unsaid words that have filled my mind now lurk at the bottom of my throat. Yet, no matter how hard I try, I can't get rid of them. They linger on my lungs like nicotine on a smoker. There's nothing poetic about not being able to breathe.

I am not searching for my “other half.” Why? I am not a half. I’m already a complete person, And nobody else needs to validate my worth. There are millions of cells in me, Each fighting for my survival. The contents of my mind are unique and entirely unique to me. There are thoughts in my mind, That have never been heard by another soul. NEVER again will I let another human being tell me I am not good enough. Not a single creature on this earth has the same DNA as me. I am not a half. I am not a whole, either. I am so much more.

Some say the world is small, That nothing new is to be discovered, And it has all been seen before. They must not know you. Galaxies exist in your eyes, Sunshine can be heard when you laugh, Your heart is the most peaceful storm. There are valleys on your skin. Your thoughts are almost as tangled as your hair, Your mind is a beautiful mystery. Rivers flow in your veins, And your heart beats with the crashing waves. I may be a star, but you; you are an entire universe.
