To Her
Ashley from Warioware
Was just in the mood to doodle my older Ashley design again. I love Ashley and the rest of the Warioware cast, I kind of hope they pop up in other series. It would help make the worlds feel more connected.
What would I do when I meet her?
I'd probably just sit there and stare at her, because all this time I've been wondering what she holds inside that brings so much peace to me.
Is it her voice? Because I've never found anything as soothing as her voice it calms my thoughts so quickly that when she's talking, I feel like drifting into sleep.
Or is it her face that does the magic? I could keep staring at her for hours without noticing the world around me. I need answers for this when we meet.
I need to know how she calms a chaotic soul like mine in just a fraction of a second. I love you jaan. 💟🧿♾️
Happy Pride Month <3
visitation hours
I called today.
no ringing, no pause
just “leave a message for…”
and I still spoke.
it’s been like this every day,
and I still call anyway.
why?
I already know how it ends.
same silence.
same tone.
same empty space waiting for me to fill it.
but it feels better than nothing.
if I can’t speak to you,
I’ll speak there
like all the words I never got to say
needed somewhere to go.
a vault.
a place that holds what we didn’t.
people talk like this all the time
at graves,
to the sky,
to something that doesn’t answer back.
not because they expect a reply
but because silence is heavier
when you keep it inside.
maybe that’s what this is.
it almost feels like this is what we are now
not us,
just… visitations.
me, leaving pieces of myself behind,
hoping somehow they reach you
on the other side.
a one-way call
to something that used to answer.
and it sounds ridiculous, I know
but it doesn’t feel like it.
maybe this is what we became in the end.
not a breakup, not a fight
just
a quiet kind of death.
still, I’ll keep calling.
keep leaving pieces of me
after the tone.
one day, I’ll stop.
maybe you’ll hear them.
maybe you won’t.
maybe one day
you’ll leave one back.
a message
at the tone.

when the time is right
my love,
the moon is full tonight and so am i of unsent words of unfinished touch of the ache that sleeps beside me in your absence
i saw your name today not in a message but on a fire station in a nowhere town the letters burned like prophecy a flare from the universe reminding me that you still exist in places you’ve never stood
a sign arrived this evening quiet and strange a whisper dressed as coincidence your essence reaching without sound
you don’t know how often i’ve spoken to you in silence how many songs i’ve swallowed how many times i’ve prayed that if we try again it won’t be built on broken pieces
but tonight i won’t chase you i won’t write across your sky hoping you’ll look up
i will only say: i love you i miss you and when the time is right if it ever is i will still be the soft place your heart remembers
until then i place this ache in the hands of the moon may she keep you safe may she remind you of me
