I know that I had in my stories that I was going to share a couple days ago but I came down with a migraine that has knocked me out. I have started a new preventative medicine for them so I’m praying that I’m one of the lucky folks it works for. I’ve heard a bunch of solutions, but it seems so hit or miss. I know that One of my major triggers is barometric pressure changes. Another is aspartame, which is harder to avoid than you would think! What do y’all have as triggers for headaches? One of my all time favorite colors is our Frozen. 🥶🥶🥶Thinking of the temps around the country, the irony of having a blanket called Frozen is not lost on me. Possibly not the smartest thing I have ever done. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But when I opened the very first bag of it, it was soooo like the light part of Elsa’s dress, there was no other option! 😂😂😂 sooo feel like this. I have a couple of small (like an hour or two) projects that I need to get to outside. But every time I think I’m going to it’s either freezing cold or pouring the rain. I know I shouldn’t complain because there’s so many people that are having to live out in this terrible weather, with no shelter and no support. So I’m going to take a minute and go through my pantry and closets today. Not because of that Netflix show. And not because I just don’t understand why I have six cans of tomato sauce, which is actually true. But to try and find what I can and get it to people who might need it right now. I know a lot of you guys are stuck inside and getting a little cramped and crowded, so maybe you can do the same. And when it’s safe, take those things to the local food bank or shelter. I know a lot of folks use Goodwill, and I think that Goodwill does a lot of great stuff. However sometimes donations directly to homeless shelters to women’s shelters have an immediate impact. A couple of donation thoughts: ➕ 👗 Just because you’re homeless doesn’t mean you’re skinny and sometimes, especially for men, it’s hard to find large enough clothes to fit a bigger frame. 🏨 Hotel toiletries in a cabinet? These are great for folks who have to carry everything with them. 🥾 👢 Warm boots and shoes can be a godsend for these folks. ♦️May be too far for some of you, but many homeless shelters do not consider feminine hygiene products to be ‘necessities.’ Now, I am sure that every woman I know just went 😳😡 What?!?! Because clearly they are necessary. So, if you have extras, toss those in too. ❤️I hope this inspires a few of you to share what you have been given. ❤️ My best wishes to you and prayers for you all in this very cold season. Wow. So I didn’t relive Instagram was doing the flashback thing. But it blew my mind to think this was 2 years ago. It has been amazing all of the wonderful people I have met here in that time. I’ve been so lucky. In all that time I’ve only had maybe 10 comments on my feed that were negative. How amazing is this community that I can say that. Getting a little teary thinking about it. This was a repost of a pic from Liz @desertdecor ❤️ I was about to give up on the idea of brand reps and influencers. I had over 900 pounds of yarn in my spare bedroom and anxiety through the roof that I would never get rid of it all. Liz convinced me to give it one more shot and boy did that arrow hit the mark! I got 16 orders in one weekend. 😱😱 Since I had planned on it being a hobby business where I made 2 or 3 a weekend, I was suddenly in a whole different place with the anxiety! But it was a great place. Liz, you made a dream that I didn’t even know I had come true. You blessed me with your friendship and support and by just being you. I am positive I’m not the only small business that owes you a tremendous amount of credit. You have been a blessing to us all.
