#clip One night I asked a friend of mine to send me his "Funny Face" photo on Whatsapp. Then my collection of this theme started , one sketch and one funny face at a time. This collection was borne due to my lifestyle's recent change and response to my daytime job of which involves technical drawings via CAD, thus resulting into free-flow drawing at midnight. The story: One night I come home and my great friend Rab and I was having our usual conversation about philosophy, business, politics or sometimes just banter on. Well this time something had struck me and stayed with me for months, the circle. For him the representation of a circle means "Life as a whole"  or  "natural". Unlike our man-made buildings that are sharp which leads to a more mechanical rhythm. In comparison to books I have read recently such as the Tao of Health, Sex & Longevity - this also talks about nature being fluid. Natural and organic rythmes are key points of my creation, along with embracing the process regardless whether or not it is planned or simply taken by chance. #detailoftheday "Untitled: Plans and Chances 0600" After falling inlove with gold and coffee, these elements bacame the key mediums for this new artwork and several other paintings. This signature textural way of painting has been developed for a decade following on from portrait , still-life and landscapes onto what now am more known as "The Sculptural painter". The number 0600 is usually a part of the title when I finish the painting itself, which signifies memory, life & death. Yay! Now I have been selected for Chrom- Art's TRIBE 17 International Art Festival (XOXO@OXO) at OXO Bargehouse, London. Thurs 12 October - Sun 15 October 2017. Funny story my partner and I were walking around Southbank and she wanted to show me the OXO tower, upon which we bumped into a friend @louiscaprani who happen to be doing a show there. Small world ! Good times! The thing is I always wanted to show my work there since couple of years ago when I accidently discovered the place on my non-digital wandering days. So here we are, fast forwarding the years. It's happening this October! There'll be plenty of love and art; performance , installations to name a few.
