Happy new year! Here’s to a great 2018!!
Yeah I know I’ve abandoned this account but I just wanted to say that 2018 sucked and so has every year since then 🤷🏻♀️
Just a couple sticky note doodles 🤪
I was looking through old family pictures the other day and found this one, no one knew who this lady was but I thought she’d make a great reference photo 😂
Ok, so this is a lot late for good ole Steve’s 100th Birthday, but I’m still gonna post it. ((also I put a little edit on the second one to make it a little more accurate 😥))
Drawing is not a speed contest, it’s about final result. It’s more of an endures contest, to stay committed to something for hours and hours.
Take your time.

Since SPN started back this week <3

“You don’t have to do what you love professionally.”
The first time I heard someone say this was while I was binge watching Mark Crilley how to draw videos. At the time, it didn’t seem that relevant, but that changed this summer when I no longer wanted to major in Spanish for a number of personal reasons and had to find something new to do. It was horrible. I’m one of those people that hates very few classes, is decent at worst at all of them, but loves none of them. How would I ever be a happy adult when I don’t love doing anything?
That’s when I remembered this little quote and realized that I do love doing things. I love crochet, kittens, watching TV with my sister, making laughably low quality art, and sitting on the porch in peace and quiet. Can you do these for a job? Not really, but I can spend half to most of the work day at job that will let me do those things, just like right now. Do I love my current job that I’m using to pay for college? No. Am I unhappy? Also no. Why I thought that it would be different after graduating is beyond me.
Don’t let this be something to deter you from following your dreams. I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to do what you love professionally at all. It was just a huge relief to me to finally realize that just because I’m not on fire with passion for my job doesn’t mean that I’m going to be miserable.
So thanks, Mr. Crilley, for helping me with my peace of mind.
"Green Eyes on a Cold Day"
Hey! I just wanted to make an official first post kinda thing that mostly just says more than the bio does. First of all, I just wanted to say that I mostly made this to be able to post my art somewhere other than my normal social medias. Second, I wanted to say what kinda things to expect from this blog, which is pretty much just going to be my art, it’s most likely going to be mostly traditional but may upload some digital art as well, there’s probably going to be a lot of pictures from my sketchbook which may be refined or may not. (also constructive criticism is encouraged) The traditional pictures will be either a scan or just a picture I’ve taken. Also I plan to be posting at least once a week, but may not be able to when my sport starts back later this year, I want to be able to use this blog as a sort of motivation to create art because without I just say I have other things I could do, so with this I hope it gives me more reason to make art. I may also post the occasional geeky, fandom-y related post (because I’m in like a million and it’s hard not to) but will try to keep that to a minimum so the vast majority will be art. Oh, one last thing, promise, just please not take what isn’t yours and say that it is, and please give credit where credit is due. Hope everyone has a great day! :) ((sorry for the long post))
