My friends insist this man would do numbers here. I do not have confidence in that, but I like how this drawing came out, so you can have it anyway. For this, I used a new mechanical pencil type for the first time since high school. I actually quite like it! I’m not sure how I didn’t find it sooner, but at least I found it now.

I drew this on Saturday and meant to have it totally colored and rendered out by Monday. However, due to a stubborn whirlwind of weather complications, chronic pain flareups, and having to help babysit a very loud toddler, it's now the end of my day on Wednesday and it's only accumulated several haggard attempts at finishing that I feel are far too inconsistent to post. But, since I still really like this sketch, you can have it as it is.

Kicking off posting on tumblr again (after finally fixing my desktop access issues) with the cover for that damn comic with the vampire I've been putting around for several years. Fun fact: the passion I have for this project moved me to make this my major project and also my thesis, and I actually graduated due to this project. So, yeah: hip hip hooray for weird passion projects!

Sorry for falling off the face of the earth there for a bit. I actually started my “final semester” mentorship and got busy with that. Here’s some of what I’ve been working on in that mentorship: finally starting the comic I’ve been meaning to make for years.

On this Friday in August, take these. He’s a peculiar little old scientist who doesn’t really care what social media is. All he wants to do is conduct experiments and get to relax in a sun chair with a tropical drink from time to time.

Kicking out the remainder of an art block with what I’m going to simply refer to as “the hear me outs from hell”. They may look good, and they do have the money, but the latter comes with the former waiting in the shadows and the pair comes at a terrible price.
