DERRY GIRLS (2018-2022)
i really need more television to exist in the same refrain as derry girls where it's not trying to tell some profound and heavily plotted out overarching story... rather its happy to just live in the brief moments of these character's lives and the comedy and tragedy that is part of their every day existence. i love 'we're not going anywhere in particular but you're damn sure going to enjoy the journey' type storytelling.
god. it’s just. it’s dreams by the cranberries. it’s the montage of them all voting yes. it’s orla’s little smiley face in the box. it’s the live footage of the troubles. it’s erin’s speech. it’s the way that the last shot is of grandpa joe and anna jumping together out of the voting hall. it’s the sheer symbolism of youth and age being joyful and hopeful together. god.
“To me, the red emotions are the most powerful ones. On the good side (affection, infatuation, love, warmth) and the bad side (anger, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication). But I think no matter whan side of it you’re on, you’re feeling the most amount of emotion you could possibly feel if you’re feeling a red emotion.” (insp.)
It seems to me there’s so much more to the world than the average eye is allowed to see. I believe, if you look hard, there are more wonders in this universe than you could ever have dreamed of.
Happy 59th Birthday, Doctor Who!
I’ve had a life with you for 19 years. But then I met the Doctor. And all the things I’ve seen him do for me, for you, for all of us, for the whole stupid planet and every planet out there, he does it alone, Mum. But not any more ‘cause now he’s got me. — Doctor Who (2005-) | Season 1
“i’m a hater” but some of you aren’t out there living the hater lifestyle you’re not committed if you were a real hater you’d go to church and pray for them to die
He didn't even know Peter was Spidey bro asked God to kill a PHOTOGRAPHER
One thing that never leaves my brain when I think about the doctor and clara is how much of an impact missy had on them by simply making them meet, like if her honest goal was "i need you to know we're not so different" she succeded!
Twelve was ready to blow the universe up just bc of this tiny depressed human that MISSY GAVE HIM! SHE WON! When she saw clara and thought "oh she's going to fuck him up so badly" SHE HIT JACKPOT and I for the life of me can't understand why she doesn't say a word about it during s10, where twelve clearly has no memory of clara,,, but chose her same job. AND MISSY JUST??? No snarky vague comment about it, no little nudge at the viewer, nothing like bitch this was your doing is it too much to ask what do you think about it?
"Do you think I care for you so little, that betraying me would make a difference?"
The sheer fucking power of that line. Steven Moffat you mad, Scottish bastard.
“We won! Hookhausen won! Not just Danhausen. Just us! We came, we decimated, we eviscerated, we annihilated. Just like Danhausen said. I cursed them and it seems to work, so that’s good. And Hook suplexed them. And then we watched, we absorbed the powers of the crowd, took our money bags, and left.”
the subtitle from the next scene starts while bataar is still talking and i dont have anything witty to say. look at this
Time has only made this worse to look at. In seven years, one could easily forget that Juicy is the name of Opal’s bison. Definitely not me though

"Immature people crave and demand moral certainty: This is bad, this is good. Kids and adolescents struggle to find a sure moral foothold in this bewildering world; they long to feel they’re on the winning side, or at least a member of the team. To them, heroic fantasy may offer a vision of moral clarity. Unfortunately, the pretended Battle Between (unquestioned) Good and (unexamined) Evil obscures instead of clarifying, serving as a mere excuse for violence — as brainless, useless, and base as aggressive war in the real world."
Ursula K Le Guin at it again, being right as always
Doctor Who “Nightmare in Silver”
This image hurts my brain more than the original debate ever did. Brains are dumb.
@alpha-team-deploy
The concept of relative color can be infuriating.
- So the androids think he’s dead and the Doctor escapes. - No, he’s the Doctor. He fell into a nest of vampire monkeys.
