It's one of many reasons that workers tell Polygon they are eager to unionize.
Employees and developers working on Magic: The Gathering Arena say they were hired with promises of remote flexibility, so they bought homes and built lives around those assurances. But they say they are now being told they may need to relocate to Washington state — or effectively lose their jobs.
Those concerns are a major reason why a supermajority of workers on the Arena team are attempting to unionize with the Communications Workers of America, under the banner United Wizards of the Coast. The group publicly launched its campaign on April 27, calling on Wizards of the Coast and parent company Hasbro to voluntarily recognize the union by May 1.
These employees are doing important and laudable work in response to being forced into a bad situation but I’m glad they still took the opportunity to call themselves “United Wizards”
WotC has still refused to recognize the union and has escalated to sending organizers letters directly to their homes about how unionizing is a bad idea. Luckily, our United Wizards are educated, organized, and agitated and the form letter from Hasbro was as laughable as it was threatening.

Check out these Korrasami fan comics and merchandise from China! Also a special fan comic featuring Toph as the main character! (Not my own work, but sharing with the creators' explicit permission!)
These will be available this August at a local Western animation con in China. Since the legend of Korra fandom here is relatively small, the comics will have a limited print run.
If there are leftover stocks or if they decide to sell them online later, they will be available on Taobao.
This year's Korrasami celebration event will run from Sunday December 13th through Saturday December 19th, and as in years past there will be several prompts to choose from (or combine) on each day of the week, as well as a Free Day at the end.
Prompt submissions will open the first week of May and prompt voting will start the first week of June, so if you'd like to participate (or just love Korrasami!) consider following @korrasamiweek2026 for updates :)
Event Rules and Guidelines:
1. Create some fanwork based on the prompts. The prompts are meant to inspire, not limit, so feel free to combine them as you choose or post your work on the concluding Free Day if none of the prompts speak to you. Fanart, fanfiction, gifsets, headcanons, analysis/meta, memes, playlists, etc. are all welcome. As long as it's your own work, feel free to submit whatever you'd like!
2. Post and share your work on the designated prompt day. Be sure to use the #korrasamiweek2026 tag or mention @korrasamiweek2026 in your post, or submit the post directly to the blog. You can also add any works posted on ao3 to the collection here.
3. Engage with other people's work! Reblogs, comments, and likes are always appreciated.
4. Fanwork must be Korrasami-focused. Other characters and pairings are more than welcome, but the work should be centered around Korra and Asami.
5. Fanwork must be your own. Reposts of another creator's work and AI-generated content will not be accepted.
6. This is an 18+ event, as we will be accepting explicit works. Please follow Tumblr’s Community Guidelines regarding such works. Explicit content of adult characters is perfectly fine, as long as it follows tumblr’s rules. If you're unsure or just want to be cautious, feel free to link to an outside source. If you post explicit writing, please either link to ao3 or put the explicit parts under a cut/read more.
7. Tag your work with the appropriate content warnings. This helps fellow participants and the wider fandom community filter out content that may be upsetting or triggering. Use your best judgement, and when in doubt I'd recommend erring on the side of caution.
8. No bigotry of any kind. This includes (but is not limited to) misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, whitewashing, etc. Your work can depict or explore those themes but shouldn't endorse them, and it must be be tagged/labeled with the appropriate warnings.
9. When submitting visual or audio media, please include a description either in ALT text or in the body of the post itself.
10. Be kind!! No criticism—constructive or otherwise—unless the creator explicitly requests it. If something isn't to your tastes, just keep scrolling. If you are concerned about someone’s content breaking the rules, please message me here @korrasamiweek2026 or on my main @korrasamibottles rather than engaging with the creator directly.
11. Have fun and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :)
