I had started this as a rough sketch, but due to a temporary work reassignment, an online course reaching its end, and general fatigue, I didn’t finish this until now.
That being said, an old concept I had for an odd game character was a walking Punch and Judy-style show, with the implication the puppeteer was a blank slate or empty shell and the puppets were the real characters. I imagine they’d be a Save Point NPC or something.
Believe it or not, this isn’t a statement of anything. Just had an unusual workday.
One of my favorite Nintendo enemies is the Starmen from Mother! These psychic alien robots are just coldly intimidating whenever they appear.
I admit I’ve only played Earthbound in the trilogy, but if you haven’t gotten to it yet, I’d say check it out!
It occurs to me that I could’ve skipped today and claimed I drew Ness’s dad. Oh, well.

So I realized yesterday’s post didn’t show a good look at this old character idea of mine.
He doesn’t have a name but I like the shape, and it amuses me to think of an extradimensional entity somehow landing a human male modeling career.
I like to think he is modest and at least a little shy outside his job, though.
Looks like you have his interest.
I have this very old character look, thought I’d give it another go and give him color after all these years.
Happy birthday to @hikariyuushi/@hikariyuushiart! Enjoy a cup of Borba Tea, and don’t worry, those are just novelty tapioca!
Belated, but…
I have been considering updating my slime robot persona, and here’s a concept!
“They told me you were coming.”
I find it tough to draw fanart for some reason, but when I do, it’s for a 2004 interactive fiction? Gosh.
Anyway, here’s Galatea as written by Emily Short. If you can get past the somewhat rough parser, it’s a lovely time to explore what became of this art piece after she came alive.
(cw for choices that talk about death, suicide, and violence, and possibly other things in routes I haven’t seen. It is not a lighthearted game.)

Weirdness for weirdness’s sake, really.
I was thinking of an old OC I couldn’t really give life to, and I was also thinking of this character I had made before. I figured, why not flirt with having a redesigned Edwin Carreau be a hated foe of that character?
…Eh, I still don’t really have a personality or arc for either as of now. Maybe Edwin is enforcing his own brand of happiness, and our hooded swordsperson is working to stop them?
I dunno, but I like the contrast between our totally covered hero and the villain being more open.
If you know what this is, please tell me. All I know is it’s a thing loosely based on a fidget toy I have.
I think I’m gonna dedicate a bit of time to filling my sketchbooks; I’ll keep you posted!
To be honest, I find it hard er to art than I used to. I think it has to do with me working on my comic, and I’ve been trying to write a fanfic alongside for the storytelling part, but I would like to draw other things more often again.
Does anyone else have this issue? Any advice?
Never let ‘em see you sweat.
I actually didn’t play Ape Escape growing up, but I was fortunate enough to find the first one at a used game store and loved it ever since!
Got a new sketchpad and a new set of some odd mechanical colored pencils, so I made this nonsense!
Gotta love jesters.
I was recently at a board game convention, and we were allowed a free miniature to paint! So I colored in this gargoyle!
This was a good learning experience for me. I think I painted a bit too thin (I always heard “THIN YOUR PAINTS” as the advice for mini painting), but it worked well in this case for a stony look.
