I know I haven't been posting much art lately. I've mostly been absorbed in gardening, plants, and my side job at an organic plant store. It's been helping me reconnect with a part of myself that isn't centered around making art... or maybe it is, because life always finds its way back into it.

Some days it scares me how little I'm creating, but deep down I know I need this, in the same way I did when I was a kid. Social media has changed so much, it leaves me feeling more burnt out and bored than inspired. At the same time, I miss feeling connected to other artists. I miss the way things used to be, but I also know things are always changing.

Anyway, here's a little snippet of something I'm very slowly working on. It's a sharp contrast to the lush garden I've been immersed in lately, but I'll always have a darker, quieter undercurrent in my emotional landscape. I try to meet it on the right days and give it somewhere to exist.

I love how color can tell a story. In this case, it reflects the way I tend to see colors within colors, layers unfolding into more layers, endlessly connected, just like life and the universe itself. Everything contains something else, and every small detail is part of a much larger story.

Maybe that’s also why childhood memories feel so vivid to me. As a child, the world is experienced through all lenses at once, with fewer filters and less judgement and a heightened sense of awareness. Sounds, smells, colors, textures, and sensations are all felt more intensely, not necessarily because they carry a specific meaning, but because they are so immediate and alive.

Hi! I meant to send this a while ago but forgot. I just wanted to say that I've owned one of the Prince with A Thousand Enemies shirts for upwards of three years or so now, and it's easily my most worn, most complimented tshirt of all time. It's worn a little thin and has a couple holes but the minute it becomes unwearable I'm cutting the graphic out and sewing it onto a panel and it's going on my wall. <33

I'm growing wild strawberries too. Small but delicious 😍

Another pond because I'm pond obsessed and need more. Still need to find a nice stick for the birds (and hopefully frogs in the future?? 🥺 because a bisexual life without frogs is a very sad bisexual life 🐸) and build a cute little stairs for hedgehogs in case they fall in. Other pond is already being used by so many birds 🥹💚🌱
