Hello! I'm Strix.

I've been making art for years, and as I make new ones I'll be sending them here. My background in art is that i started drawing whatever I wanted on anything I could find in middle school, i.e. mostly self taught with the help of some peers. I studied for 1 year in community college, but have no degree. Currently I primarily do digital art, but I am also fairly skilled with a ballpoint pen and pencil, since that's how I really got started.

I'm trans masc, and a therian, if you can't find it in yourself to support either of those, bye!

I'm 22, and if you want pronouns I use He/It/They in order of preference. I have aphantasia, so the more detailed you are in descriptions of what you want, or in the references provided, the easier and faster I can get to work.

Some things that will make me stop working with you:

TERF/TRF, incels and bigots begone, if you plan to use AI/LLM's on my artwork (ngl I hope you get scammed), empty blog, anti therian or masculinity, right winged, left winged but still excluding people you don't like (i.e. liberal but only for show), and this may be random but purposeful spiderball python/stargazer cornsnake/enigma leopard gecko buyers and breeders (just in case, i do not want to draw your pets, and I'm not sorry about it), pedos/zoophiles/bestiality.

My favorite things to draw are bones and wings right now, what are yours?

NSFT specific nopes below the cut:

Feeder/feedee, piss, scat, pedo/zoo/bestiality (yes I'm repeating myself), necro, pregananant, and anything sent to me by someone under the age of 20 will result in a block. These are personal boundaries, and either list is prone to and available for change. It is up to you to check if and when the list has changed.

Btw blood here is fine idc, but chances are that we will need to have some words about it so I know exactly what I'm making.

Found the list on pinterest, I am not familiar with the creators of it.

Tiredness started hitting hard tonight after the third one, but it wasn't enough to go to sleep until the last one.

The idea with the 4th one is kind of a hagfish woman type situation, where the mucus for some reason forms a corrosive-ish structure that resembles hair.

I only really like the jellyfish, flatworm, and siren.

Finally calling this one done. I can't be bothered to draw the background so I just edited the colors of the sketch layer and left it. More information below the cut.

I started this in the later half of 2024, and finished it about 10 minutes ago. If you look closely, although, not that close, you don't need to zoom in, there are differences between the two.

The drawing itself has areas with hatching where I went in with a very light grey (almost white) at 4% opacity to increase highlights. I also used one overlay layer. Details are split between mostly 2 layers, which you'll see below, in addition to some other small details.

Work in progress art piece that was started late 2024. I stopped working on it for awhile, but I'm doing it chunk by chunk now, trying to finish it up.

The reference is what's in the top left corner. This is the skull of a nine banded armadillo with the skullcap. Original photo was taken by me while I was living with my mother. The drawing is being done in procreate, I've used the syrup and technical pen for this, no edits to them. Tracked time for how much has actually gone into this by now is 67 hours.

If anyone else would like to draw this, go ahead. Hopefully yours is done before it hits 2 years old lol. I think i still have copies of the photo I used, so if needed I could probably share that if need be.

Fun fact btw, all the details are on 2 layers, split between the skull and skullcap. There's one additional layer for some extra highlights I'd struggled to get otherwise.

Sneak peek of an upcoming drawing for a story i’m making.

For some reference, this is going to be the opening scene of the story, where the ship crashes. Anything orange/magenta/dark blue will be gone soon.

If i have to fight you in order to get a straight answer for what to draw, I'm just going to block because you're wasting my goddamn time.

Two legged creature, or shall I say armed? Its hind limbs are withered away through generations of weird evolution.

Its body is long and a majority of it is simply a tail, strong and prehensile. Its arms are thin and just as long, with bony fingers.

You wander through the forests, the area seems rather calm today. You're about to sit on a fallen old growth tree when some part of you tells you to look up... your gaze drifts slowly upwards, as well as all around you... but directly above you, just two meters up, a figure so thin it blended in with the trees. You don't have time to run or scream before it grabs you, hoisting you into the tree canopies, never to be seen again.

Made a couple thumbnail sketches late last night of the creature described above. Idk how much of it I'll keep or change.

My usual implement for drawing is currently dead and in need of charging, so rather than doing this myself, I'm inflicting this upon as many people as I can.

Drawing idea:

Sacabambaspis as a dragon, including its triangle mouth and empty, soulless eyes.

You can choose any dragon type you want, including but never limited to, eastern, western, drake, sea dragon, amphithere, lyndworm, wyrm, and wyvern.

The only requirement is dragon and Sacabambaspis' face.

You're new to the station, one of the monthly crews full of new people they send. Some of you may return home, others are fresh meat. You only got this job because you promised you could handle big animals, however they never told you how big, or what kind.

Well, good news new kid, you get to find out what your job is today! One of the seniors, you think his name is Michael but he's also the only one who never wears his nametag where you can see it, and he seems to have a different nickname given by every person he interacts with. He's also really bad at explaining anything, just tells you that you're helping an animal and explains nothing else. Great.

He shoves you into a locker room, tells you to suit up... okay, so there's O² tanks, flippers, and a mostly black wet suit with red trim. You put it on with some difficulty, as you've never done this before... hell, you usually work with mammals, y'know, dogs, cats, some weirdos have hooved animals back home so you learned to deal with those. You don't deal with this aquatic crap, but you needed something new and interesting.

He leads you to a boat sitting at one of the docks on the surface, and still says nothing but "Go on, get up there" while nudging you with a cheap cane, any of your protests falling on ears you would swear are deaf if he hadn't just talked to a dozen people.

He drives the boat for a few kilometers before kicking you overboard, only just now explaining what your job is through an earpiece. You're to separate the two creatures before you. You look around, and find a large, chitinous beast with its mandibles stuck on the spiky hindquarters of some kind of shelled... thing. You're not sure how to describe it, but it sounds vaguely reminiscent of the "lobsters" that some senile people talk about, just spiky.

You swim closer, trying to approach the intertwined beasts as they both thrash in equal measure. The larger of the two swings its head, the legs of its shelled prey slamming into your leg hard enough for you to hear something snap. It doesn't take anything else for you to figure out that this is not a one person job. You try desperately to swim up to the surface, however they follow you up, the larger one recognizing you as potential help, if only for your shape... however it throws you out of the water, high into the air, and the collision with the surface isn't something you come out of alive.

I only have art of one of the creatures, and frankly you can't see him well. Need to redraw him at some point. He's kind of the pet and mascot of the research base. I don't have a proper scientific name for the boy yet, so we just refer to him as Schnibble.

Finished up a piece for one of my hellworlds. He is based on oarfish, marlins/sailfish/swordfish, lancetfish, and blue dragon sea slugs. It started as me drawing a sea dragon, it did not stay that way for long.

Finally finished this up. Usually my wing patterns are more complicated than simply jet black, but I didn't feel like copying that for all of these. Hands also usually have a black gradient but, same as wings, didn't feel like it this time.

So far, of the messages I've received regarding commissions, it has been primarily bot accounts.

From here on, if you don't have an age on your account (minimum saying that you are an adult), and multiple posts, i will not be messaging you, I will not be responding to you. This also goes for anyone with a default profile icon. I will simply block freely and move on.

I had one i believed to maybe be a person however they have continued to dodge questions about the specifics regarding what commission they want.

If i ask you a question, please answer it within a timely manner and be clear on what you want. I don't believe this is too much to ask, particularly when you consider that a timely manner can be anything within two days.

I believe that I have made my requests clear. If they aren't, then you are welcome to question it privately.
