Ahhha! my latest public painting is complete! My most ambitious piece of 2025, a painting of Gyarados as I always imagined it to be, massive and downright terrifying.

New Art (kinda)

I'm sharing a newly finished piece, but it's actually a repaint in oils of a piece I made years ago digitally. I wanted to practice painting on gessoboard, so I figured the easiest thing would be to repaint one of my oldest pieces and use the new medium to practice technique and not form.

suffice it to say, I'm really pleased with the results, and I think this version is so much better than the original. It has more... grit and texture.

I painted a little necklace! This is for a trading card project I'm working on, and I am SUPER HAPPY with how this came out.

Original oil painting is 12x16 inches, oil on canvas. Working on getting prints into the shop atm, but I'm headed to a con in a couple weeks so I'm trying to get them ready for that first.

I wasn't going to share this, but then I decided, what the hell.

This is a prelim sketch I did for one of my next oil paintings, just getting down composition and values. I think I may make some minor changes between this and what I end up finally painting, but heck, I wanted to show it off!

I wanted to go for a blend of realism but not stray too far from the large anime proportions or recognizable features. And to think, 10 years ago, I was terrified of drawing Gyarados.

I did some nebulas as studies for a new set of paintings I am working on. But I loved these on their own right, so I decided to share them! Have some space!

All are Oil on Canvas. Top one is 14x18, the two bottom ones are 9x12.

No plans to sell prints, but if people want them... I can make them happen.

Hello friends! Sharing a new finished painting, this one being my rendition of The Pandorica Opens from the Doctor Who Episode: The Pandorica Opens. Second photo is a detail shot of the text (I made it personal to me as a sort of signature.)

Oil on Canvas, 18x24 inches. Most of the painting is a single alla prima session, but the text was a separate session.
