see for me it hurts even more if he never cheated, like - once in their relationship or marriage. it makes it all the more worse when you take into account that reader almost let patrick eat her out while she and art were still very much dating - they definitely kissed - he was dating tashi at the time, too patrick cheaters RISE !!!! so like. when you take THAT into account it makes everything even more dramatic, because reader has been holding onto this resentment towards art that hes always wanted tashi, wanted tashi over her, when SHES the one who cheated (without his knowledge - or tashi's, for that matter - though i doubt she'd care in the present.) but art would go apocalyptic with the information. like. hes carrying so much guilt about hurting you - because he does have feelings for tashi, but hes always loved you just as much, you were never a second choice to him - but he feels awful for wanting more than one person at all when you deserve the best husband in the world. because you're perfect, innocent, loyal, lovely, and hes pathetic and undeserving and then patrick tells him. doesn't know why he held onto the secret other than the fact that you begged him too, and he always had kind of a soft spot for your puppy eyes - but obviously art deserves to know he doesn't need to hold onto all that guilt - not when hes had his tongue down your throat, almost had your cunt on his face -
and yeah, that changes things. kinda solidifies arts liquid spine. makes him suddenly sure that you're getting back together, he'll drag you back kicking and screaming if he has to - you'll confront that you're just as fucking greedy for love as he is, even if he has to drown you in divorce court to make you crawl back.
