See "Blood" and "Dancing at Lunacy" for St. Patrick's Day
Here's a link to a review of these plays. Plenty of passion, Irish voices, and blood. Leave the children home--Romantic Ireland's dead and gone in this deep exploration of the violence.

Review
See Jonas Hassem Khemiri's Invasion!
The Flea Theater in NYC is the setting for Khemiri's riveting play, Invasion! During its February 2011 premiere, the play won an Obie for the playwright. Cheers to The Play Company for bringing it back. If you are tired of global paranoia and self-cheapening words, you will want to see this play. Here's a review of the new production at this link.
Families Enjoy New York City's High Line
There is something for everyone in New York's high up park called the High Line for its former status as a freight rail line. In the 1930s it spared pedestrians from dangerous train traffic on the street by raising the rails; in the twenty-first century, it elevates strollers away from the noise and street traffic. The beautifully landscaped and architecturally sensitive tract is home to many delights that give families a terrific way to spend the day. Here are some ideas: High Points for Kids on NYC's High Line.

New Photos of Daniel McCusker's ATAD Process
This week on June 17 and 18, Across the Ages Dance, produced by Eliza Mallouk and Marcie Mitler, will open in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This intergenerational performance, features the work of five choreographers and twenty-four dancers, ranging in age from their first decade of life to their eighth. The performances are all but sold out, and it promises to be a weekend to remember. Photos available at Defining The Capture blog, featuring Daniel McCusker's rehearsal process.

Choreographer Focus #5: Daniel McCusker
Daniel McCusker is a pillar of Cambridge Dance. He's lent his support and gifts to the Across the Ages Dance Project opening next week. I've excerpted my interview with Danny at Defining the Capture.
