HUNGRY for some ART?
Well, at the Food-O-Philla 2013 organised by The Arts House, you'll satisfy that hunger with food and art! :) Singapore's national identity is greatly based on food dont you agree? Only Singaporeans take pictures of their every meal, put it up on instagram and earn a gazillion likes just for some Nasi Lemak. Only Singaporeans will queue up at the stall with the longest queue because its assumed that it has good food. Only Singaporeans. So Food-O-Philla plans to further explore that special relationship that SIngaporeans have with their food!
At Food-O-Philla, there is a wide array of food inspired artworks and performances that have been planned, but a certain few have caught my eye. :)
Project Laksa
Classical Music and Singaporean food have things in common. Yep, you read that right. Project Laksa explores the connection between food and music which will be pretty interesting since Singaporean food and classical music seem to be not even closely related.

Vocal workshop with vocal coach Amanda Colliver
Want to be the next Mariah Carey or the next Josh Groban but never thought you had THE voice? Well, Amanda Colliver will tell you anyone can sing (Hehe, its like Ratatouille). In her three hour workshop, she will go over issues like breath control, projection and she'll even provide some life coaching skills to help you get over that nasty case of stage anxiety you may have. This workshop is slightly pricey for its duration, so I recommend this for people who are really really interested in singing. :)

Hey guys!
Look what i found!
This is Daniel Waples and he plays a rare instrument called the Hang drum
Daniel Waples, who was once playing the Hang drum to make ends meet, is now one of the most travelled Hang drummers and has frequently been invited or booked to play onstage.
The Hang drum is actually a pretty new instrument and its creators, PANArt Hangbu AG, who are based in Switzerland are still fine tuning the instrument. This instrument is rare and really hard to obtain because of its price and availability. It sort of looks like a UFO doesn't it? Heehee.

El Laberint thought provoking maze installation by Itinerania (Spain).
Even though it looked like it was meant for children, people of all other ages were drawn to this interesting sight. The riddles at the front of every door would puzzle and confuse the person trying to figure it out. Even some adults got stuck at some doors. It was really interesting to watch kids and adults woking together to solve the riddles.
Check out itinerania for more information of the labrint.
