A tradition handed down from a long line of swamp witches is to place a ribbon or bracelet around a doorknob and only remove it to wear it when you wish to shut out certain things or people at that time. You say what you wish to close off or shut out then tie the ribbon on your wrist or put on the bracelet. If it breaks or falls off your wrist then that means someone or something is going out of their way to delve into your life.

He fist places a kiss on my cheek, then the corner of my mouth. I reached up to kiss him on the lips, he kissed me back quickly and hard. He continued to kiss ky nose, then my eye, then my third eye. Pulling back he cupped my face and whispered "so hot". I laughed softly but didnt open my eyes. If it was a dream I didnt want it to stop. Holding my face firmly he kissed my lips again. The kiss was clumsy and desperate. He went at his own pace and fought me for dominance. It was a kiss that left me breathless.

Mawmaw's Sweeten Um Up Working
It’s not a spell because Mawmaw was a good Southern Baptist woman and she didn’t do spells. She sometimes did workings. Just things to help things along.
Mawmaw is what we in the South call our grandmother. My Mawmaw was white but she was born in a migrant worker camp in Georgia and never had a birth certificate. She was one of 13 children, though not all survived. Now and then, I come across old memories and bits of things I remember from her. Superstitions, folklore traditions. Sometimes I find bits of other things to put them together.
When I was about 8 or so, I came downstairs to have breakfast and opened the sugar bowl to find a folded piece of paper in it. So before scooping out the sugar, I asked what a peice of paper was doing in it.
“He needs sweetenin’ up” Mawmaw said.
I poked at the paper and could see a name written on it.
This was one of Mawmaw’s workings. A bit like a honey jar but in a much simpler form. No candles or anything fancy. Just a slip of paper stuck in the sugar bowl until Mawmaw felt you’d been sweetened up enough.
For a more modern version and because I don’t keep a sugar bowl, I’ll take a sugar packet from a restaurant and write the name on that then put it somewhere safe until the workin’ is done.
(If anyone else has this tradition, or similar, in their family, I’d love to hear about it.)

Its the same shit the FCC did claiming that taking down net neutrality was good for everyone that we idiots don’t know shit.
