Hii I was wondering if you have done the Tuesday 13th May 2014 exam for AQA unit 1 Psychology? If so can you please advise we what to revise on? ASAP

Yes I have. My advice is to revise everything if you want a high grade because no one knows what will come up. Good luck :) It's definitely doable and wayyyy easier than A2 (unit 3 and 4)

I didn't expect that random graph question to come up. I like how they made the 12 marker so vague that we could use any studies on eye witness testmony. I don't think I did well on the daycare questions though..

I revised the learning theory a lot. I outlined Harlow's monkeys :) It was just the last few questions that made my brain freeze lol

Yeah they could do since they made the 12 marker quite broad and easy as well :(

The 12 mark question was really vague so you could have wrote about any of the studies that had to do with the accuracy of eye witness testimony.

You should discuss the implications of the daycare. Here are some flashcards, the file attachment on this blog is very helpful and some more info here. It lays out all the possible things you can include. I forgot to add this to my blog. I will add it any missing information after but for now you can use the resources I have linked.

Any tips for a freaked-out student?

I’m freaking out here too lol But i’ve been going over all possible (likey) 12 markers today and now i’m going to go over past papers since they tend to recycle a lot of the research methods and short ones. You can go to thestudentroom psyc thread here if you want to panic revise with others.

Don’t pull an all-nighter as you will be very tired on the day.

Stay hydrated (very important as you’ll be quite stressed out. Your brain won’t recall information as well if you’re dehydrated and tired.)

Try to stay calm tomorrow morning, take deep slow breaths

Don’t try to learn new information, go over some points and answers you’ve written

Don’t panic, you have done as much revision as you can. You’ll be fine :)

Yes, I tried to include everything that I have been taught. There may be more information from other sources eg textbooks that you would want to include to achieve higher marks. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or at at thestudentroom thread

Hi, just using this for revision and it is extremely helpful, however I noticed that you put hodges and tizard under disruption and in all the textbooks it has it under privation instead. Just to double check which one it actually is, keep it up though as this has helped me a lot throughout my revision!
