My Top 10 Favourite Ships (1-5)
Here is a list that no one asked for but it’s pretty much an introductory post for me. Anyways, I’m doing this starting at number 10 and going to number 6, then 5 to 1, because I’m extra and like to keep ya’ll guessing with those unnecessary scrolls.
5. Klaroline Klaus and Caroline from The Vampire Diaries
I literally watched The Vampire Diaries for this ship. I didn’t finish it simply because Klaus left the show. Honestly these two have the most chemistry in the whole show, they have angst, banter, and most importantly to me they have the potential to be such an amazing couple that can help one another. Caroline helps Klaus maintain his humanity while Klaus let’s Caroline accept herself. To me, that what being a beautiful couple is.
4. Evak Even and Isak from Skam
What a whole-hearted, precious relationship. I started Skam for these two and though I ended loving the whole show, these two and their season will always be my favourite. They were adorable, and they continue to save one another. Isak is Even’s tether while Even is Isak’s heart. I really adore their dynamic and I think that they were just such a pure couple who begun with a crush and it just became so much more. I cried and laughed with them and I’ll do it a thousand times over again.
3. Malec Magnus and Alec from The Mortal Instruments
Okay first of all, I love Malec. Second, I love them SO much more in the books, so very much more. The show is... good, it’s fine, but it feels a bit rushed compared to the books. Magnus is probably the greatest character in all the Shadowhunter books, there’s such kindness hidden beneath sarcasm and banter. I think Alec brings out that kindness in him, a kindness and pure love that no one else could do for Magnus. Alec’s character development was extraordinary, especially during his scenes in Lord of Shadows that development becomes very apparent. I really, really love them.
2. Victuuri Victor and Yuuri from Yuri!!! on Ice
WOW OKAY I LOVE THESE TWO SO RIDICULOUSLY MUCH. Let me start by saying that not half a year ago, these two idiots were my otp. My love for them has not dwindled even remotely, it’s just that my love for another pair has risen. Alright so, I genuinely expected to be queer baited while watching Yuri!!! on Ice but boy... was I wrong. After 7 episodes they kissed, after 10 episode they were engaged and my poor little Victuuri heart was exploding with joy. I think Victor is the best for Yuuri, he brought him back from such a low point in his life and made him the Yuuri he was before + upgrades. Yuuri had such amazing character development throughout the show and that was largely due to Victor’s presence and coaching. Yuuri helped Victor see his flaws and his potential in other aspects of his life. They are so wonderfully perfect for one another, two puzzle pieces that fit together. I adore them to whatever end.
1. Bellarke Bellamy and Clarke from The 100
IM SO BLOODY BLESSED TO HAVE THESE TWO IN MY LIFE THEY ARE EVERYTHING THEY ARE GOD’S FINEST GIFT THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL. These two, wow, these two... these two will most certainly be the death of me. My whole heart is in pain whenever they exist on screen and I’m pretty sure that’s a result of the most spectacularly executed relationship development I have ever witnessed. 4 seasons and they’re still not officially a couple. Am I mad? Mildly, but definitely not that mad because clearly Bellarke will be endgame. What I find amazing about these two is the chemistry, the dynamic, and they are definitely the most power couple that any couple can be. I will wait a thousand seasons for them to be official, I promise you all that. The season 4 finale is a holy grail to me. He is the heart and she is the mind, words can’t possibly describe how much I love them. Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin are a blessing to The 100, beacons of hope and chaos but somehow they empower one another to be truly... extraordinary. I don’t think I will ever love and respect a duo more than I do to this one.
