First meeting is hella cliché. Haiji sees Kakeru running, and is swept away by his beauty impressed by his perfect running form
I don’t remember exactly, but I think that’s also when Kakeru sees Haiji glowing in the sunset, which is such a romantic trope
They’re next to each other on like all the official art lmao
I mean, even the cover is like Kakeru standing in the front looking intimidating, and Haiji a little behind him with that look on his face
That height difference tho
Haiji is protective and is really good at showing up at just the right moment to keep Kakeru in line after he’s lost control of his emotions
It’s the whole team that gets Kakeru to open up, but he was originally only going to tell Haiji his backstory

And then we can hear Hana-chan yelling what does that mean a few times as they continue to watch the stars
