Entering Haven {Open}

Bobbi didn’t get called down to the gatehouse as much anymore, but sometimes she would be the one who was closest to answer. She made her way down, passing the gardens and grounds to be let through the inner gate.

She realised when she entered that she recognised the woman. She didn’t know Wanda well, but well enough to recognise a fellow intermittent Avenger. “Glad you made it, Wanda.” She jerked her head to the side to tell the sceptical looking soldier he could go.

The brunette sighed as she stood by the soldier, waiting as they called for someone to come get her. She looked around as they waited, taking in the buildings beyond the gate and long spread of land around them.

Wanda looked up at her, glad to see a somewhat familiar face. “Hey Bobbi.” she said, “I’m glad to see you’re doing alright.” She moved towards her, keeping her hands at her sides. “So, those soldiers mentioned something about an exam? I suppose to make sure I’m all healthy and what not?”

Wanda looked up at the gate that surrounded the safe house as she walked towards it, eyes squinting against the sun. She had been wandering for so long, trying to find any sign that there were survivors somewhere. The epidemic had spread quickly, forcing her out of hiding and back into the world.

She had been on her own for so long, even with the world in shambles, it felt weird to be out and about in the open. Wanda shook her head, forcing back that dark thoughts that were threatening to come forward. “It’s the past, it can’t be changed.” she murmured to herself. “I’m not that person anymore.”

She sighed and wiped the back of her hand over her forehead, clearing the sweat off of it. She continued walking up to the gate, hoping there was someone there who would be willing to let her in. Perhaps it would even be someone she knew, but in this new world, who knows?

Barney raised his finger, and started walking towards the med bay

“Oh yes, of course, that is understandable.” she said, moving to follow him. She looked around as they walked, curious about the Haven.

“So what can you tell me about this place?” she asked, looking back at Barney.

Wanda looked up when she heard the voice, giving the man a small smile. “Hi,” she said. “New Dead City, huh? That’s quite a name for it.” She walked closer to him, taking in his appearance. He looked familiar but she couldn’t place it.

“So, what exactly is this place?” she asked, looking around. “And who runs it?”

Barney scratched his nose, taking her in. It was rare he met legendary Avengers, much less those that have shaped history,

“Runs? Ah… still working on that myself, but from my understanding, Stark and his friends. But! This is Haven, the safe zone. Here you, definitely you, will find friends and help if you need it”

She gave him another smile. “Tony, huh? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him. Any of them really.” she said, pushing her hair back out of her face.

“So, mind showing me around?” she asked. “I would kill for some water and a shower.”

Barney watched her come in, at first he was excited. He thought maybe, it was his old team mate June, who had cosplayed The Scarlet Witch when he was with the Dark Avengers.

Unfortunately it was not, it was the source material herself. He saw her walk forwards. He had been meandering around Haven trying to find some comrades, but this gal looked lost

Hey all,

I apologize for dropping off the face of the earth (again). A lot of bad went down, but it’s slowly getting better.

Because I have been gone for so long, I’ve decided to retcon Wanda (which I’ve already spoken to the mods about) So I will be re-introducing her to Haven.

If I had a thread with you, I apologize and would be more than happy to start a new one.

I’ll be putting an open post up here soon. Thank you all for being so awesome and understanding.

Drake will be remaining the same.

Walking Around Haven (Open)

Dealing with having two different families through things like divorce and adoption were fairly normal in this day and age. Billy’s circumstances, however, had always been unique. Not many people could say they had a soul family on top of their birth one. Even more dramatic, it just so happened he had a soul twin- and they both belonged to arguably the most well known mutant family that’s existed.

After confirming that Wanda was indeed his mom, it made sense why she had always been his favorite avenger- there always had been a comforting, nostalgic feeling whenever he had seen her in a comic or on the news. There was no doubt she was extremely important to him, even if they hadn’t really had time to grow close to one another. It didn’t help that she had been gone even before the infected took over. After hearing she was here in haven- he jumped at the chance to find her. Chatting around with few of the people around the complex, it wasn’t long until someone had told him where she was was and he wasted no time in heading over to the specified room. It was surreal seeing her and even more so trying to address her- always caught between Mom and Wanda, even if the latter usually always won. Billy knocked against the door frame, a smile working it’s way thorough whatever awkwardness he might’ve felt. “Uh- Sorry, don’t want to interrupt any….deep personal reflection or thoughts. Just wanted to- y’know say hi.”

Wanda felt a sense of relief wash over her when she heard her sons voice. Though she had been gone, she never stopped worrying about or thinking about her kids. She turned towards his voice, a soft but bright smile appearing on her face. “No deep thoughts here.” she said, standing. She moved over to her son, reaching out to gently rest a hand on his cheek. “I’m so happy you’re safe, Billy.”

She let her hand linger for a moment before pulling it back, the smile still one her face. “It’s really good to see you.” she said. “I’m sorry I disappeared like I did, I should have let you know I was leaving. I hope you can forgive me for that.”

Wanda looked back towards the couch before looking at her son. “Would you like to join me?” she asked. “It would be nice to spend some time with you.”
